    Help getting 805b running

So now I am at a crank no start and working through the TM on that. If you see any glaring fuel connection errors let me know. Gov Planets tester had it apart so who knows. I will check the line you mentioned. The manual lift pump does not seem to have fuel yet. No one mentioned checking...

    Help getting 805b running

That was my other guess but I did not see it in the parts drawing. I will try removing the fill neck to check that out thank you. I see it must be built into the filler neck.

    Help getting 805b running

I took some photos and looked into the fuel tank, I thought I would need to scope it. There appears to be a plug maybe 6 inches down or so. I tried to use a tig rod to see what it was but it is solid. Do they ever plug the filler for some reason maybe transport or for dedicated external...

    Help getting 805b running

I have an 805b that was started and ran using an alternate fuel source and manipulated the electric fuel pump and shutoff to achieve that. My question is where to start and any likely culprit or culprits? My thought was to clean the fuel tank. Can a no fuel reading cause an issue requiring...

MEP 805B wired to split 400amp panels

Yes. One arrived today and one other plug this week as well as 4 receptacles. They were around $130 for the plugs each. The receptacles were under $50. I got them through ebay. The receptacles were takeouts and the plugs are new minus box on one and open box on the other. Regardless of...

MEP 805B wired to split 400amp panels

To verify the 805B is rated at what 104amps and should be able to exceed that In a similar manner to those overloading an 802 or 803 during say the start up of a condensing unit (hp or ac). Is the 104amps correct on these? What is the view on balancing the legs what I mean is what is an...

MEP 805B wired to split 400amp panels

On breaking out the 3ph into two 1ph I was planning on using a 100 amp 3ph panel with a main 100 amp disconnect and 1ph breaker to feed each panel. Placed side by side in the panel that should pull L1 and L2 for one breaker and L3 and L1 for the second. Does anyone know if any leg on these...

MEP 805B wired to split 400amp panels

We are on the same page. Mine is trailer mounted and keeping it mobile was my thought. I have ordered 5100p9w for the cord and 5100r9w for the generator and house plus one for the barn to do monthly’s and run 3ph equipment at times. Is that in line with your approach?

MEP 805B wired to split 400amp panels

Are you going to hard wire it or have it portable? I am leaning heavily toward portable.

MEP 805B wired to split 400amp panels

Good point on finishing the drawing. The ground is tied into the panels there is no 400 amp switch just a meter box. In the meter box (2) 4/0 200 amp services are run into one meter and tied together in front of the meter. On the output side/load of the meter they are split back into (2)...

Here is the markup with wire/cable specs.

MEP 805B wired to split 400amp panels

Here is a crude drawing. The mains are fed from the same meter can. I am assuming the generator would not be bonded as the generator would pick up the bonding in the main panel. The panels are both bonded and I would assume you would run ground and neutral to/from each panel to the 3phase 100...

MEP 805B wired to split 400amp panels

I will draw one up. The panels would need to be all utility or all generator no mix loading. My other thought was on grounding, neutral and bonding. My plan was to use 5 pin pin and sleeve style cable to feed the fused outside disconnect which would allow the generator to be grounded/neutral...

MEP 805B wired to split 400amp panels

I have an 805B we are working to get running and are planning out the connections to the house. We have a split 400 amp set up with (2) 200 amp panels. To use the 805B to the fullest it made sense to install a three phase 100 amp panel and feed the 200 amp panels from there. That would...
