I thought it should move pretty good, anyone know why it would leak gear oil out between the drum and the case on the left (drivers) side??

how far should the lever move? mine is only moving towards the out position about a 1/4"

New to the 5 tons and have a quick question. I have the opportunity to buy a really nice M923 but I really want a winch. How hard is it to retrofit a 923 with the pto and hydraulics like a 925 has?? Is it a bolt up hydraulic pump or is it more complicated than that? Any help is appreciated.

Well digger what do you consider the drawbacks? Unfortunately we will be in mud and sand and probably water up to or over the wheels in the hunting areas so maybe the A3 isn't the better choice. Anybody done an auto tranny in an A2?
