5ton to m35 power steering upgrade

That was a real concern of our to have and be able to steer if there was a breach in the hydraulic system or a engine failure of some type. That’s why we went the way we did. We have friends who are diehard rock crawlers and they use the popular hydraulic ram steering system, any failure of the...

5ton to m35 power steering upgrade

We made a steel backup plate for the box on the frame. Called a semi truck wrecking yard. Told the gentleman what I was looking for and he call back sent some pictures and sent us a pitman arm that worked fine. Our total cost was about 10-12 man hours, about $450 for the box, $25 for the pitman...

    M931A2 16:00R20's ???

foaming power steering fluid and hard to steer

I really hope that your NOT trying to put power steering fluid in it. Hydraulic or a cheap atf fluid is what you should use. Mixing power steering fluid and the hydraulic fluid that is all ready in there wil make the steering sticky and shaky. Then in a short time your seals on your fan clutch...

    M35A3 Transmission Temp

I R gun is cheap and useful, we have DX 3 in ours and it is unlikely that the gage and the pan temps should be more that 20-30 apart, “Probably “?? a bad gage or one that’s good but just reads a little off.

Bead Lock/Two-Piece Rim Nuts - Are they that hard to get off?

Used a lot of penetrating oil a very good “3/4 impact wrench, high volume 175 psi compressor and sometimes a torch. Yes there a bear. If you have a dotco type grinder every time I mess with A-3 wheels I hit the threads up about a “1/2 from the nuts on the studs. Because if a nut loosens that...
