    Need input on M108 purchase

There is is a little estimation and some variables here. The extended boom is 16' long at 45 degrees, add the height to the ground (~8'), Roughly 20' to the tip of the boom? then subtract the length of the rigging/cable/hook etc.

    Need input on M108 purchase

Chuck, Welcome back. Sorry to hear of the loss of your wife. There several M108 owners here that should be able to help with questions. Do you have any pictures? We would love to see them and maybe we can see what's there, and more importantly, what's missing.

    Join?Daytrip-HNTSVL mvpa fromCincy

Cincinnati, OH to Huntsville, AL. I realize this is short notice, but I am pondering an attempt to make a day trip to Huntsville for the MVPA convention (Thursday or Saturday) from Cincinnati. Basically, leave in the early evening after work (Wednesday, or Friday) sleep in the civy truck...

    Deuce problems after Haspin

I would agree with mobileauto2000 that the brake problem is likely farther upstream than the wheel. Maybe the reason only the RR wheel was smoking was that it was the one that had the least running clearance. (adjusted out the more than the others). I would look to a sticking air/hydraulic...

    Junkyard find.

Yep, that is about 5 miles from my house. I know only a little about the 715 series, but it was definiately a 725. Looked as though fire dept had cut the ambulance body down replicate a pickup truck. The frame and axles were meticulously clean ! ! It looked as though it had a complete...

    2012 Haspin info/dates/attendance

No problem Rick. I was thankful for your help putting the truck and trailer back in the shop. It was an honor and privilege to have you stop over. At the very least you shaved an hour(+) off of today's trip and avoided the Monday road closure/detour out of Haspin. Don't forget the...

M342a2 factory dump truck is now home

That u-channel seems to look like the one in some of the pictures posted by 11Echo. However, be sure to check the dimensions of the rectangular pockets in the bedside. Mine are under 3" x 1 1/2". The part shown in your link is too big to fit without modification. You will need to cut...

    2012 Haspin info/dates/attendance

Sorry, I missed this one. I don't think we need a light. We have a halyard - So we hoist it at sun-up and lower it before dusk. (try to maintain a semblance of military bearing, ya know) Now, if you have an audio device that can play "Reveille" and "Taps" . . . that would be useful !
