I'm looking to do something similar. I have a pioneer kit (tools bolted to hood). How much did thus help in raising the hood?
I like the reinfocment you did.

I'm trying to find a good solution for the headliner on a turret equipped HMMWV. Wondering if others have used a high density foam for the liner? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Thanks for the input. There are drain holes but my fab guys are going to use spacers and bolt with the gaps that are there. They didnt like the way it fit. But i think it was made to fit that way.
My fab guys don't agree with the fit, as i think most people don't. They are going to create some spacers where the bolts mount. Then mount the panels and see how they fit. Its at that point ill decide to keep or return. Thanks for everyone's input.

Altering the rock sliders is what my fab guys are saying to do make it fit correctly. They say they can do it no problem. However they also added that it cost $$. And they don't believe I should have to pay for a plug and play part to be altered. I agree. Not to mention on there site it...
It's actaully oposite. The floor of the Rocker panel is shorter than the floor of the hmmwv. So when the angles meet, Rocker panel and truck they are off and create a 1.inch gap.
It's confusing. I had to see it in person to understand it.👍
there is a channel that the lower lip is suppose to ride into. The are 2 bends that ride into both wheel wells. The flat panel that is suppose to attach to the floor is smaller in length than the floor. Thus the angled plates hit the angles of the body and don't line up/mirror.
I have a HMWMV 1985 m998 which was converted into a Hard top, slant back. I have been working on it for a while and near completion. I recently purchased a rock slider from a company which will, for now, remain nameless. But their product is off from fitting flush (near flush) by over an...
I wanted to know if anyone had come across or knows the answer to the following dilemma.
info:
Engine: 08 LMM 6.6 Duramax
Transmission: 1000 Allison
HMMWV 6.2 Gauge cluster.
Question/dilemma...
Will these old 6.2 gauges work with the senders from the engine and Transmission (Duramax and...
Well its been a journey with the HMMWV. After a long time and seeing more mechanics than I want to admit I changed complete directions for my conversion. I decided to go big or go home, which meant ditching the HMMWV all together.
I removed and sold the 4bt and 700 r4. Got a LMM 6.6...
Ya I think so too. The more mechanics I speak with the more I come to this same conclusions. Well I will have to take it to another guy, currently in a holding pattern at a shop that does trucks from the ground up, seen some of their work, and their work has been in 4x4 magazines. So I...
