With the little snow we've had in Chicago this winter, Streets and Sans has been laying the salt down thick as a blanket. I'm not driving mine, just for that reason. As for your weak heater, the first thing I did when I got mine last year was the cooling system. I know it's on your agenda, and...
Living in Chicago, I may only need A/C a week out of the summer where it's even to hot with the doors off. The investment isn't worth it for me for the whole Red Dot A/C setup. This may be the alternative I go with...
Here are pics that will hopefully clarify some questions for us novices tackling this job for the first time. Notice the GPC and TSU look identical and utilize the same harness. Once I married the proper units with their boxes everything worked perfectly. Thanks, Retiredwarhorses and the others...
Still can't believe that this isn't a Sticky. They should make one with Retiredwarhorses consolidating all the wisdom he dropped on us within the 7 pages of posts.
Anyway, swapped a one for one between two (fully functioning) machines. One with the old PCB & GPC, the other with the newest S3...
So, what are the exact dimensions for a HMWVV aftermarket wheel (16x8 size and 8x6.5 bolt cir.)? Here is the link for Cepak, and I don't see a +50mm off set. I checked all models, the DC2 has a -50 offset. https://www.dickcepek.com/wheels/dc-blackout/
Extremely helpful with the pics and video. Installed in about an hour. Fixed my PCB unreliability and now my gauges no longer flutter. Thanks everyone!
Novice here and haven't removed the Cadillac valve, as I don't know what I'd be looking for. With my TDM connected (new replacement) the fan clutch never engages (even at temps 235-240). New, functioning temp gauge was also installed. Clutch fan runs and cools fine with the TDM disconnected. Is...
You guys are awesome, thanks! Going to start out with the flush, then move to the infrared to measure the heat off of the cold cylinders to determine if a jet is obstructed. Will post the resolution. Radiator must not be something that is replaced when they do an MWO refit. Mine was done in 2007...
I replaced the water pump and thermostat and it's still running hot. Took the thermostat out, and can see the fluid cycle in the reservoir, but has made no difference. Any ideas? I think the 6.5 doesn't have the auxiliary clutch fan like the 6.2?
