my mechanic started on the repair today,what a job..

I have done it with and with out a small spacer.

Sounds like its sucking air.I have a injector pump for sale if needed.

I have bobbed 6- m939 trucks.The 5 ton front springs work great,all you need to do is spin the brake cans a little.And repipe the air lines.

Hes been great so far...

It is a monster....Wonder why its so much bigger than the hemtt.

The rebuilt transfer case showed up today.

This is a pic of the transfer case tag.It say the rebuild date was 1988,The truck has a rebuild date of 2004.Figure that one out???Also what are these green plastic things on the truck,there are 3 of them ?

I am happy with Brian Harrison.I do have a remote power unit for my rear unit.It also came with jack,tools and a full pallet of new parts that I saw listed on ebay $2k,it has a lot of replacement parts in the kit.Just not a transfer case.It does have a new transfer case cover in the box.

Artisan,My mk48 has a nsn 2320 01 177 5167 for the front power unit.

Brian Harrison of Harrison trucks has been very cooperative in this matter.I am anxious to get her going.I ran the hook on the truck today it worked flawlessly.

I got the truck up to my shop today.The dealer is buying another transfer case and is going to pay the labor bill.

I will check things out in the morning.Its dark now.

It seemed to drive fine,it made some loud noises when you turned the steering wheel,Loud noises.It doesnt make any difference if its in low range or direct.It just grinds.You can see the input shaft turn when you put it in gear,but it does nothing but make loud gringing noises.

I need to get the nsn # for sure,I found a couple but the part #s are different.I wish I new if the mk48 and Hemtt share the same transfer case.
