    Memorial Day Parade

I have pre-registered the 5-ton cargo and the deuce tipper for our local parade in Florence, KY on Monday. I recruited Todd Haley to drive one, and we might be getting some real heros for passengers. Still trying to get the Gimpy to join us with something from his fleet. C'mon Gimp!!! Any...

Glad to hear you made it home too Rich. I know when I separated from you guys in Columbus, it got awfully lonely for those last 120 miles. I can't imagine how you felt on your longer solo journey. It sounds like we both should be installing some of the missing injector line clamps before...

    Home from Aberdeen

Here are the obligatory photos to accompany Kenny's report of my unexpected stop. After 1140 miles (and only 30 left to go), I detected a strong and sudden smell of diesel fuel. I looked out at the driver's side fender, and it was soakin' wet.:( BTW -Thanks Kenny for watching out for all of us.

    Convoy Central

Re: RE: Kirkersville fuel/and meeting stop Thanks for the kind words Kenny. Only you and I know how bad that dump truck was to begin with. Don't look at it too closely, I still have a lot to do . . . - but it definitely has been upgraded from "hideous" to "almost respectable" :wink...

OH, IN, IL, KY, MI, WI, MN, (and beyond) going to Aberdeen??

There is a slight change to the Cambridge, OH stop. Instead of the Pilot Truck on the South side of the exit, we will meet on the NORTH side of the of that same exit at the Sheetz Fuel Station. There is also a TSC store (Tractor Supply) next to it. Gilbert21/2ton said the pilot is small and...

    Aberdeen 2007

I haven't had much time to "chime in" lately - been trying to get the truck ready for the trip to Aberdeen. Gimpy came over on Saturday to fix a couple of leaky wheels on his 109. Todd Haley joined us to help. I don't know how much work we got done, but we had fun.

Hey Bjorn, The data plates below are still on the inside of the driver's door on my dump truck. Heater was gone when I got the truck.

    Wisconsin to Aberdeen

Hey Rich, I think that so far it is just us Steel Soldiers members signed up for the western (green) serial. I'm not sure if it has been publicized with other mv groups. Maybe you could try recruiting from the M715zone, G503, MVlist, etc. I thought that in one of my conversations with...

OH, IN, IL, KY, MI, WI, MN, (and beyond) going to Aberdeen??

Good point. I should reevaluate the times after adding stops so that our arrival can remain the same. I was trying to space the stops out so that we could get out and stretch our legs/kick the tires/check the oil/visit the restroom/etc. in addition to getting fuel if needed. Any other...
