Comment by cucvrus is on the money, because really those things look well-thought out and solid:
- Where did you get that 3x4 material for the "stretchers" between the dollies?
That's good stuff.
Not personally a big fan of "filler" materials like this, my background (carpenter) says remove-and-replace.
But I recognize that plumbers evidently like the stuff, and if it solves a problem then the final judgement says it's all good, right?!
There is an epoxy product that comes in a putty form that might work for you:
- it's a two-part system that is clay-like and eliminates the liquid epoxy problem.
It's pretty common and inexpensive ($7+/=), in any plumbing supply, big-box hardware or marine store. Might be worth a try.
No electrical expertise here, but can you explain why a 1) relay is a better alternative to a 2) switch?
If there is no simple explanation, I'll get it, but hoping maybe that there is.
Is it simple?
Being a taxpayer, and from what I read about Defense Procurement, maybe there was a little difference in cost also.
If there WAS any cost difference, it's a 50/50 guess who got the best deal:
- Civilian buyer, or
- The taxpayer
Anybody know?
I learned to embrace darkness, it was a lesson learned from, believe it or not, some Navy SEALS:
- Our battalion (SEABEES) was billeted with a SEAL TEAM once on a deployment to Puerto Rico (Rosey Roads).
- Why we were together is beyond me...
- Anyway those SEALS talked about LOVING the...
My background is General Contracting, and an "FDC" is a Fire Department Connection.
Can you help me please, Elijah95:
- What is the FDC that you're talking about?
No kidding, Crapgame is right, that IS some nice work. The fit is perfect.
Guessing this is not your "first rodeo" at machine-sewing, Bulldogger.
You might have mentioned it before, but where did you learn the trade?
