DB2 Injection Pump Rod With Spring??

Did they tell you it was ready to bolt up and run? Maybe that is the old one that they put a new one in?

    M1008 CUCV Gen 2 Light

You have entered the voodoo section of CUCV wiring. Do you have the exactly correct number bulb in the Gen 2 light socket? Have you taken the 6 pin ground terminal off the parking brake bracket, cleaned it and cleaned all the ground wires connecting to it? How is your heater fan ground wire...

    2017 TX MV Rally

Brent Mullins Jeep Parts owner is the man behind starting the museum. i went ahead and uploaded another video. The one with the least amount of sun glare. https://youtu.be/huAb7vSEV2g i was trying to sneak over to the side and get the lead trucks turning when the rumble bumps got me. It is...

    6.5L GEP Engine Valley Drain

No, 6.2 blocks just have a small hole on the back of the valley.

    2017 TX MV Rally

I made it home safe as well. Just finished breakfast and uploaded the convoy video. https://youtu.be/t9jjM11xcEY I got a few M1009 dash iPad videos of the convoy in motion. But, we were driving into the sun the entire trip. Once again it was nice to see and visit with everyone.

    2017 TX MV Rally

We had a wonderful lightning show, but no rain after around 1800 or so. Lots of visiting kept us up late. Lincoln is is parked in "Lake Lincoln". While I am making due on the edge of lake CUCV. Nice thing about holding a rally in an abandoned rock quarry. You don't since far. The sun is just...

    Oil pressure gauge wiring

The M35 gauges don't have illumination wiring. They have power and they have a sender wire. Ground is through the panel screws which is often a cause of erratic gauge readings. Illumination is from the clear sides in the gauges getting fed red light from the two lights for the entire gauge...

So, on a scale of "Meh" to "Dude, you're gonna die by death wobble"

I brought up tire balance because of my M715. It is a closed knuckle D60. Not the same as yours. No stabilizer shock either. Running ndt tires, I got death wobble 43-47 mph when in a turn. Also 52-55 mph if one front tire hit a bump. I could narrow the speeds it happened, but it still happened...

    2017 TX MV Rally

I'm ready for the rain. No sleeping in puddles for me this year.

    Fire.....well amost

Dang Steve. I'm glad he made it home without something on the side of the road happening. I know it is going to hurt, but try welding a nut to what is left of the starter bolts. Say, 1/2" inside nut with just a tack on the inside to the bolt end. They won't have much tension on them, so once...

So, on a scale of "Meh" to "Dude, you're gonna die by death wobble"

The open knuckle D60 has a long reputation of liking new or shimmed king pin springs on top. Have you checked or replaced them? More than likely, your changing the steering stabilizer a few years ago just masked the problem instead of fixing it. This one is probably worn out like the last...

    2017 TX MV Rally

Sorry you can't make it Jeff. I always enjoy these visits. Now, the forecast is for rain Thursday evening, all day Friday and into Friday night. I am starting to think the M1009 with a covered M101 to sleep in makes the best sense.

M1007 - CUCV Suburban Clone Build Thread

Good point about the field repair. I plan to clamp these things down so they don't rub themselves or anything near them too much. I just got to work in the M715 with a bed full of parts for the Cowdog. Plus a GEP 6500 with a broken rod end. We are going to see if anything on that engine is...

    2017 TX MV Rally

Well it looks like Colton will not even make it Saturday morning. He has an academic UIL thing he can't get out of that morning. I still plan to show up Friday evening. I just don't know which vehicle. Thunder storms are forecast Friday night into Saturday morning. I pulled the hard top off...

M1007 - CUCV Suburban Clone Build Thread

I was back at work today with the AN adapters that fit the radiator transmission cooler mentioned above. The fittings did fit. I made sure the combination of straight, 90° and 45° hose ends were still going to work. Then I watched yet another YouTube video of how to cut and fit the hose ends...

    Water in engine valley

No, no clutch in a HMMWV. But thousands of engines from these trucks were sold as surplus. Who knows what they ended up in or might end up in. Someone searching 5 years from now for information about the valley drain might happen upon this thread. With the older engines valley drain fuel...

    Water in engine valley

I can look at the blocks in my class next week. But, somewhere around 1992-1994 when they changed over to the 6.5. The drain went from the small hole at the back with no tube to the bigger hole with the tube. I like the tube because it puts oil, coolant or fuel leaking over to the side instead...

M1007 - CUCV Suburban Clone Build Thread

The hood is now painted. I just have the outsides of the front bumper and grill guard to go. Then I think I will be done paint for this truck. Yeah. Here is the before shot. I didn't think about an after shot until I had moved everything back inside for the night. Oh well.

    1986 hmmwv 6.2L injector pump

You might want to find a shop that knows something or can think. The only difference between a military HMMWV IP and a military CUCV IP is the top cover. The CUCV IP is the same as the civilian IP. 3 screws, 2 wire connections and a hose fitting is all it takes to swap the covers. I have three...

M1007 - CUCV Suburban Clone Build Thread

I learned another new thing recently. Like most learning experiences, it was painful. Just my wallet this time, but painful still. I posted a month or so about how I was hooking up the braided steel transmission cooler hoses. I even put part numbers in. That was all great until I went to hook...
