    Softer suspension on M998 (? )

I would like to say I just rechecked. Seems the A1 has underbody armor and other pieces of armor. My truck has no armor. But none the less the bare 51/52 is the same weight as the 65. Both of which is 1000 over the 998. The grey truck is a 998. It sits a little higher. The front is...

    Softer suspension on M998 (? )

Here's over a year of use on an 1151 with a steel rack on the back. We also weekly take it off road. The American springs are hot dipped which cause sagging. These are cold rolled which hold their dimensions better. I had several sets of springs made from titanium that are in the works...

    Softer suspension on M998 (? )

You want 4x4 rear springs. 16.5" tall. You will need a grinder to both cut and grind. You will need a set of daystar 1" spacers for the rear to level it out as the rear mounts are taller. You will remove 1/6 to 1/3 of a turn of the rear spring and maybe 1/4 to half for the fronts. And...

    Softer suspension on M998 (? )

Search my username. I have entire threads on it. It's softer than anything out there and its less than $350 all in.

There's better options out there for that money.

    Nissan Armada Springs

Perfect and nice job. I think I cut one full turn in the front but a quarter turn is negligible. You should do the rears too. It needs the rear done more than the front usually because not only is the rear lighter but the stock springs are sometime 3 times stiffer. Also the rears mounts...

    Nissan Armada Springs

I just pry them out into a trash can with a moving blanket. They damn near fall out when you loosen everything up.

It's not stupid. That is an airbag that acts like a helper spring. You relocate the shock to the outside, weld in plates and install the airbag so if you are carrying extra weight you will ride level. I am making a kit for this. That way you get the softer ride and the option for level...

HMMWV Wheel O-rings Civilian Part Number

I bought 48" of 3/16" oring material and made my own. One dab of superglue and you're done. Just make sure you cut the ends square but even if it's a little off it's still good because it gets squeezed. It's maybe a buck a foot.

    Soften M1123 suspension

I have full coilovers with 8 inch travel. But my original comment stands. Spacers vs longer springs are the same because you are not going to block the springs either way.

In theory yes. But... with reduced rebound is increase in ride roughness and quality, which in turn decreases speed. With reduced speed comes reduced forces on suspension and thus decreased travel especially with really stiff suspension.

Lifting does not increase travel. In fact it diminishes it.

It doesn't work like that. Horrible ride comes from lack of down motion on lifted trucks. The springs don't know where they are. They don't know there is a spacer above them.

You could always use the spacer. Or m998 springs.

Chances are you are riding too high already. But to answer your question, you can always use the daytech spacers which gives 2 inches.

I completely agree with you. I've been pounding the wheel position/wheel travel drum for a while now as seen in my previous posts about whether the truck was riding too low. And to think people are still wanting to lift their rigs even more is ridiculous. With that said, my comment was...

    Soften M1123 suspension

Well the stiffer it is, the faster you need to go anyhow to make it comfortable..
