    M915A1 Repainted

Thanks guys, yeah we kind of like it. No, no plans for the naked lady mudflaps though. Probably wouldn't go over well in our conservative farming community, lol. The General is now tasked to haul grain and during the spring will be towing a spray-support trailer.

    M915A1 Repainted

Well "The General" is out of the paint shop and as promised here's photos of the work. OD Green purists may want to avert their eyes and look elsewhere. :-P The color is a custom-mix we call Sunset Red. The hue, depending on the light, goes from fire engine red to burnt orange, copper and candy...

    New Guy in Nebraska

Painted, finally Well as promised, attached are photos of the M915A1 painted. OD Green purists will cringe. It is a custom-mixed color that we call sunset-red. It is gold metallic base coat, red clear-candy and then clear coat. The photos don't do it justice though. Depending on the light, it...

Anybody Running 915,916,917,920 without the secondary air filter

We farm with our 915 (tows grain trailer/spray trailer) and would never consider running without the secondary filter. But, we have really dusty roads and run on gravel about 75% of the time. We found an inner filter from our local John Deere dealer. Took it out and had him match it up, since...

    Insurance situation is crazy!

Not to sound like a billboard, but Progressive Commercial will insure MV's. My M915A1 is insured through them, very reasonably. They have a website, but you may want to call them.

    M915A1 tractor to trailer cable

You may want to check your local NAPA. Mine sells the cable for $11 for the 12v version that plugs in right behind the driver side of the cab.

    New Guy in Nebraska

Thanks folks, I think I've seen REB's posts on here. It was because of some of what he posted that we decided to go with the 915. I agree, personally, I think it should be repainted OD green, but in our community, very small village, there are those to whom we have to keep appeased and present...

    New Guy in Nebraska

Howdy folks, well I've been a member for a short time and finally got around to posting my newbie thread. I'm a Desert Shield/Storm-era Army vet and my farming partner and I just added our first semi-truck to the farm operation. It is a retired M915A1. I found the truck with 28K miles, in near...
