Sorry guys been to busy with too many projects, what was my problem??? Bad spark plugs, well bad resistors in the spark plugs. Took them over to a local airfield and put them on the pressure, resistance stand because the electrodes looked great. Well as I applied pressure and advance the spark...
Yes to all of the above, oh what size is the rubber hose connectors at the carburetor and intake runners.
Ive almost got the carb out and going to start on the gas tank tomorrow.

Yes that was my thoughts too. It doesn't take much gas or electric to run a gas motor that's without a load on it.
Im thinking gas to especially after finding missing gas filter element. The guy I bought it from had had it for 10 years he told me. And he said it was sitting a lot the last few...
We loaded ours out like that couple of times, flew it to the big island that way once, just to show we could. Most of the time I would load it in the back of a deuce an a half and sleep on it on the ride out to where ever our LZ was at.
It was a huge time saver, it hauled everything we needed...
Yes your all correct, but??? I would think if it was the points that it wouldn't matter whether it was under load or not. Motor revs right on up unloaded. Now I pulled the inline gas filter and guess what?? Yeah no filter. Well, so then I pulled the governor and it checked ok, put it back on...
Sea foam!!!! Well I thought about that too but why would it go to full throttle when it's not under load???
i would think that it wouldn't run at full throttle at all???
See my quandary ??

Mmm took mine down to wva to deer hunt and about 3/4 of the way back mine started running ruff and spit and sputtered
noticed a definite loss in power, it was only running on 1 cylinder. I'm assuming my problem is ignition???
ill have to start checking things when I get home.
Any ideas would be...
Hey guys it was a combination of idle screw adjustment and cleaning the governor.
there was a bunch of dust all over the governor and other things too but it's purring like a kitten now
thanks guys

Hey tommys2patrick, thanks and I will, yes I went through the TM's and I saw on the engine one where the idle screw on the top was at but not anything about idle RPM on the carb but I did see something on the governor for top speed and for bottom speed.
