    MEP-002a help

There is a speed sensor that kicks the stater out when the engine reaches running rpm. It may or may not be the initial root of your problem. It's on the opposite side of the genny from the starter under a little oblong cover. Mine also intially started and ran perfectly, then after...

Why is this trailer worth over a $1000

There have been a couple of M101A2's that went over $1000 + fees and tax lately, so I don't know if that's out of line for a 1101/1102 or not. But I think it's a crazy price for an A2.

Any Way to Rejuvenate Faded Paint?

Here's a pic of my 1031 with some WD-40 wiped on the fender and hood. It's temporary but it darkens the paint back up.

    M103A3 1 1/2 Ton Trailer width

I've also pulled many trailers off GL lots (Minot, Ripley, Sparta, Dodge, Letterkenney, Meade, Warner Robins, OKC, Rieley) never had a problem. That's not to say that problems can't come up. If you're prepared for them, the're usually not a big deal. Make sure the tires are aired up properly...

Purchase Private vs. GovLiq or other

Going with GL is an adventure and gives you a more personal relationship with you're MV. Private party is safer (usually), as you can test drive and such. Just make sure you HAVE A CLEAR TITLE IN HAND, NO EXCEPTIONS when you purchase. Good luck.

    M103A3 1 1/2 Ton Trailer width

Not saying it can't be done, but I wouldn't try loading a 103 in an enclosed trailer. Most GL sites I've been to have a forklift capable of setting a 103 on an open trailer, but I wouldn't trust many of their operators to push a 103 into an enclosed trailer with only a few inches of clearance...

    Just bought an M1101 MWOs?

If it were mine, I wouldn't be scared to just tow it home. Looks ok, but then you never really know till you get there. I've pulled many M101's, M105's, M103's and M200's home behind my pickup without any problems, some as far as 9 hrs. home. You'll need to rig the lights to work with your...

    Just bought a trailer

I don't think you'll have any trouble getting it home empty with your Yukon, but I'ld think twice about getting very far out of the yard with much of a load on that trailer without a tow vehicle designed to pull it. Nice trailer though.

    Help identifying a cargo cover

I found this in a m105 I picked up at WR some time back. I googled the numbers but came up with nothing. The ID numbers on it are, 19207-ASSY-12340761-2 and MFR-54799. It has 4 bows, 3 the same, 1 about 6" shorter. Any help would be great. Thanks.

    MEP-701A battery area cover needed

OK, My unit has the top cover with clamps at the top and bottom. The piece I'm missing is the lower panel that you remove to replace the battery. It's held in place with 4 screws. If anyone has that panel available. or a parts unit that has that panel on it, I would be very interested in...

Hey Milbikes. Just wondering if you found a place for that cover? I'm in need of the same piece. If you could let me know, that would be great. Thanks.

WI to MN M915 recovery question

Thanks NEIOWA. That river really cuts down the secondary border crossing options. I know there are a few of them but I'm not familiar with them and I hate stumbling around in territory I don't know when I'm trying to keep it on the down low. I think wreckerman's got the right idea, Just roll...

WI to MN M915 recovery question

I've never heard of a MN "in transit" tag in MN either, not to say there isn't one. The auto dealers here have dealer plates supplied by the state for moving vehicles around. Normally you have a thirty day grace period from the date of purchace in a private party sale. If purchaced from a...

Great heads up info, thanks. I'll be previewing this week and be sure to check on the key situation.

WI to MN M915 recovery question

In MN farmers have a CDL exemption within 100 miles of home (used to be 200 miles) as long as it's you own truck and product. I believe the state is currently working hard to close that exemption though. When they started changing the rules I could have been grandfathered in by just taking the...

WI to MN M915 recovery question

I'm looking at picking up a M915 in WI in the near future. As a MN farmer I'm not required to have a CDL for what I use a tractor trailer for, so I haven't gotten one yet. I've spent many years farming in SD within 200 miles of home but never really had to deal with scales or DOT to much as...

Sold a 1031, titling issues with new buyer, need advise.

It appears they are well on there way to resolving the issue, but anyone who's been on this site for a while has to have seen many horror stories of FS97's in someone else's name. Titleing comes down to how easy your state makes it (I envy those who live in those states), and the quality of the...

    Starter issue on MEP-002 & MEP-003

I spent a while looking through old threads and didn't find anything on this issue so if it's been covered i'm sorry. Hoping to save someone else some time, $$, and aggrevation. I picked up an MEP-003 recently, got it home, gave it the once over and started it up, ran great. It sat a few...
