    Some of those WWI camouflage schemes used by Germany on their aircraft were pretty funky. Of course, those schemes were: - WWI era. - German - And aircraft specific. But. You know. Other than that. Pretty funky!

    This is kind of long (8 minutes +/-), but it gives an overall summary, from the early development to the final few sorties. Towards the end of the vid it addresses a U.S. bomber raid over Berlin involving 1,200 bomber aircraft. That would not have been a good day to be in Berlin...
