I use a product called 'Deoxit' to clean and deoxidize electrical contacts and switches. on my truck there were rubber lines on my front axle, that were dry rotted and leaked air. replacing them helped.

    Fuel sender connection flu419

the question is... where was it grounded originally. The electrical schematics are not really any help here. I can't find where the wire was connected before the PO pulled the tank out and broke the connection.

if you look at my profile you can see that I have contributed plenty. But I will make an effort to exclude you from any questions I have, you don't seem you could be bothered anyway. I am going to block you and I invite you, Mr Speedwoble, to do the same with me. with that said- good luck to you.

    FLU419

    FLU419 Transmission fluid low

So how much is involved in replacing the front output seal of the transmission? The way I envision this task, it will be a major pain in the dick. Front axle come down torque tube , driveshaft, output shaft out. I will probably involve all sorts of specialized pullers and what not… Or it’s all...

    FLU419 Transmission fluid low

I started to go through some of the checklist items and I noticed the transmission was low by 5 1/4 qt just about. Today I checked the front diff and it was overfilled by about 3 qt. I also found that the front air rubber lines are leaking . So I got to replace those tomorrow. Is there a...

Dipper pin is giving me grief

Thanks for the info glcaines. I have a place right around the corner, that works on backhoes and tractors in general. But anything this much fun I rather do myself. How else am I gonna learn how to do it?

Dipper pin is giving me grief

This particular pin holds the entire assembly together. Kind of like that screw that holds the two pieces of scissors together. I imagine that if the whole thing is not pinned somehow that the arm will drop and then will be a huge pita to get back together. But I’d do it as a last resort

Dipper pin is giving me grief

I agree with you, Guy. Taking it apart sounds like the way to go. Taking that pin out could be a huge can of worms , if done wrong or in the wrong sequence. So I was going to go for the easy way first. With that being said, I’ll pump a few squeezes of grease in it , move, wipe and repeat. Until...
