Can somebody who has done it post some tips for replacing both lines? I was told that you can do it with the IP in place. Do you need a soldier B? Can you get to the 90 degree fitting on the block to tighten the hose connection there?

Correct, it is the corner reinforcement inside the inner windshield frame. You will see how the holes in these corner brackets line up with the bolts that hold the top frame element to the side elements. When I restored mine, these pieces were rusted and I removed one or both (can't remember) on...

I hear you and had the same issue. The bars can be bent a little so that the end does slide into the windshield frame hole but, once in, the "spring" like pressure of the bar will hold it in the hole. Having the bars in makes the top look better and keeps sufficient headroom inside.

Indeed. When the flasher is not working and I turn the stalk to "left" and remove the green cap from the unit on the steering column, I can see the lamp glimming. It does not glim in any other stalk position. After a while of glimming, the flasher will spontaneously come on and (usually) work...

Got a set of Grote 24V miltary LED headlights (take-offs) from a member here. Swapped them out, all hunky-dory, everything works. Today I notice that one headlight no longer works on low beam. High beam is fine; all lights up. In other words, the LEDs themselves work.

Options (choose one):
Inflate undersized tire until it is as big as the other tires
put undersized tire on front, correct sized tires on drive axle and do not engage the front diff
put undersized tire on rear, remove rear drive shaft, engage front diff and drive home in a FWD truck
With these huge tires on, the truck looks like it can only go straight! Hard to believe that the tires fit into the wheel well at the front. Obviously, they do fit, after all.
Certainly a tire size where you want your fuel turned up and the brakes well adjusted! :)

The axles do not hold back any oil. Oil from the pumpkin can and will seep down to the caps at the end of the hubs and it is irrelevant if an axle is attached to the cap or not. The paper seal or RTV between hub and cap hold the oil in. An intact outer oil seal and sealed keyway in the outer hub...
The FH can leak at normal fuel pressure (even without the flame heater pump dishing out the extra pressure to open the flame heater nozzle). Fuel gets into the intake and can seep down into crankcase over time. Smoke is probably the first sign.
Other than that, HH is probably your culprit...
