    Sudden shutdown - cause?

Alrighty, then...I won't touch the HH at this time, but I will check the in tank fuel pump for split/missing hose and clogging. Good time, as the fuel level is low.

Engine wont rev to 2600 rpm

Actually....page 1.....I asked " "Does it revv up to max without load?" and the answer was "no".

    Sudden shutdown - cause?

M35A2C running like a champ. Upgraded primary and secondary fuel filters as of this spring, in-tank pump working, fuel level over 1/4 full. Situation: driving on country road, no issues, engine warm. Shifting back before doing a right turn. Stepping on clutch, engine dies. Coast to a stop at...

Lube Order versus What I Am Told

In short, this topic has been exhaustively covered in the past. People will probably tell you to search for it. I try to sum up what appears to be recurring consensus: Lubrication technology has moved on since the time the LO was published. Today's GL-5 is generally seen as yellow metal safe...

    Need new window and windshield

You can take the windshield frames out and take them apart, remove the glass and have a shop cut you two pieces out of laminated glass. You can even go green tinted :-) Have them round off the edges; nicer to handle and easier to mount. Use the time to restore the frames (the edges like to rot)...

Engine wont rev to 2600 rpm

Many might say that 2350 is an ideal max engine speed....fat lady sings (helmet on) Check the fuel line from the tank to the IP for places where it is kinked or pinched. There is an area near the radiator where it crosses over and many members reported it got flattened there. Does it revv up...

Replacing/Upgrading troop seats in the Deuce

It looks very good, indeed - better than had you painted over it.

    flame heater valve leaking

The usual vendors have parts. Common wisdom is, unless you need to start in way below freezing on a regular basis, to simply disconnect and plug the flame start system. It can leak internally, dripping fuel that ends up thinning your engine oil. One day I will do what I say here and disconnect...

Allright Pros, need some help! Brake question

Here is my impression and two cents: To me, this looks like a truck that was off roaded and then left standing between adventures, as opposed to doing maintenance on it. Axles leaking, brakes defective, winch broken etc. are pretty much the usual fare in this case. Little details, such as the...

    Pulling with winch

As with many other things, common sense applies. If you do what you describe, then, no, this is not likely to cause damage or danger. The winch is, however, an ''integrated system'' that is designed to work within its load limits, torque limited by the shear pin in the PTO shaft. Applying...

    This is how I roll!

Well, I think you should wrap a mannequin wearing a bike helmet, ripped clothing and fake blood around that bike and front end. That would give your Deuce the right look, with a bike in front!

    single tires to duals

I have driven my Deuce in both single (current) and dual configuration (before) and can honestly say that I would not go back. You are not giving up load carrying capacity with singles and on-road and off-road manners are better when singled out. I especially disliked the axle binding and how...

    Just some Saturday fun

No questions, no deep insights....just having fun driving my truck and gently offroading. The pictures do not show how steep the embankments really are. Yet, the truck is geared so low that it can idle up the grade without stalling in low first. The grade is steep enough for the front bumper...

M275? What will it cost me? Pictures

I think you found a good truck there. You were asking for advice - here it is: get the truck, get all the parts that you can round up on the property that may belong to it (as already mentioned, fifth wheel, spare tire carrier etc.), and bring the truck to a secure location. Then trade/sell it...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I drove it, with a big smile on my face. Turn signal flasher unit is a bit erratic, new fuel gauge and cleaned grounds still make the gauge show 1/2 when empty, but otherwise..a blast. Air pack seems to work ok (after lubing; it was venting air when the pedal was applied and did not produce a...

    Brake cable question

I replaced my brake cable and the replacement cable came in a new outer sheath. I do not see how the cable alone would work; it needs the rigid outer sheath to brace against when you actuate the parking brake lever.

    Recovery Tomorrow

Looks like you come well prepared! Good luck!

    Finally!!

Hmm...I would have said it looks like a "thin stacker" to me - no turbo.

    airpack exploded view

Can somebody please confirm that this is the TM with the correct instructions and images (as opposed to the TM with a mis-labelled picture, leading to false assembly and non-functional airpacks)
