    Whats It worth?

I'd say $20K to $25K, deuces aren't worth their weight in gold, but you do have a lot of time and workmanship invested in that truck. I would not sell it for less than $20K. On the other hand, there is a guy on ebay selling one like that one for $60K or so, I think that is way out of line.

    VA Rally

Steve, thanks for all your hard work on the trails! Wish we could get our hands on some defoliant or Agent Orange to keep the weeds at bay. Sounds like they are growing as fast as you are cutting them....

    your camping trailer loadout recommendations

One thing I would strive to do building a camping trailer would be that most of the gear would be ruggedized. Most everything I buy is surplus anyways, so mostly things that are mil-spec or actual military contract stuff would be used, with few exceptions. Military gear lasts longer, can take...

    WWII CCKW Assembly Line (France)

That is an awesome video! Wish we had work ethic today like those guys did back then....

    How many gallons per inch

When it came to filling the tank, I always did this simple method. Tank fully, then drive 200 miles. Time for fuel. How much did I really need? Well, remember - DON'T TRUST THE FUEL GAUGE, they are 1940s technology and are rarely correct. I always figured 50 gallon tank in the deuce x 8 mpg...

    How many gallons per inch

Tank volume: Volume in cu. inches = Length x Width x Height (all in inches) Usable volume = Volume in cubic Inches - displacement of pump - space at bottom of tank that pump doesn't reach (all in cu. inches) Convert cu. inches to gallons: cu. inches x 0.004329 = volume in gallons weight...

    NO WEAPONS in the Classifieds

What if your military vehicle IS a weapon? I'm thinking about all those guys out there who own tanks, self-propelled guns, and artillery pieces. :)

    US Army Vietnam Letter/Number Font

Most of what I have seen for the 1960s is Military Block A or B. There is a Military Block C, but most of the vehicles I have seen that stencil on was late 1950s and early 1960s. More details about the differences between fonts here: Type Faces

    The Sorcerer

I just saw it on YouTube. Very cool movie! Lots of M211 action, love the part showing them fixing the two wrecks up that they find in the junkyard in Nicaragua. Not sure if I understood the ending, two guys showed up that weren't shown elsewhere in the movie, at least not on YT, and go into...

    1965 M52A2,EX Air Force truck?

The Air Force had to move stuff around, too. What would it be used for? Fuel tanker hauling, towing missiles and control vans, any number of things. Remember, the M52 tractor was used during the height of the Cold War. Just use your imagination of what your truck was responsible for during...

    7/14/12 Breakfast in Eldersburg, Maryland

Sure thing, thanks... Good to see you all again, one of these days I'll be able to swing over that way in an MV. :)

    your camping trailer loadout recommendations

I agree about the water tank height, but I wasn't necessarily meaning a HUGE water tank. 15-20 gallons would do for a camping trip, just enough to wash pots and pans, and make food. I like the idea of the pump, though...

    7/14/12 Breakfast in Eldersburg, Maryland

I didn't measure them but I have two hinged ones that are roughly the same size as foot lockers, I have one about 24x24x30, and one 20x20x20. And a few wooden cannon boxes.

    Radio Box Info Wanted

I don't know the nomenclature, but they look like a portable rack system for any computer/electronic/radio gear setup. It's general purpose, not meant for any one specific installation.

    your camping trailer loadout recommendations

Believe it or not, most of what I said can fit easily into a 3/4-ton trailer, like a M101 or M116 Pioneer tool trailer, if you make efficient use of the space inside, might have to box some things together or make some custom shelves. But what I put in the list is easily doable. I've seen some...

    your camping trailer loadout recommendations

Here's some ideas I have: BBQ grill - take the legs off it and mount it to a solid surface but with a drip pan underneath to catch the grease. Fed from a large propane tank mounted elsewhere on the trailer sink/faucet - fed from tank of water, gravity fed, mounted high on the trailer to get...
