    Chemical Storage @ Your Motorpool

I suppose that technically, baking soda and vinegar are not actually "explosive" as in fireballs and heat, but when mixed there is RAPID and MASSIVE expansion of gasses - I think it's CO2 (Carbon Dioxide). Many old kids' chemistry kits used a soda bottle taped or tied to a roller skate (the old...

    German STORCH of WWII

I didn't think that this thread's topic was directly related to what passed through my inbox this morning. So, I started another thread to highlight the video.... I think the subscribers to this one would like the heads up...

    No power to anything?

If you think it's your Start Switch, reach under the dash, pull the plug off the Switch, then try starting with a jumper wire inserted into the harness plug or a pair of needle-nosed pliers will work also - one point into each contact.

    German STORCH of WWII

Rory, I can relate to your dad's private secrets. When I married my first wife and met one of her uncles, he was somewhat excited to have an airman in the family of farmers. He had been a bomber pilot with many missions over WWII Europe, but would never talk about his experiences with anyone...

    No power to anything?

Have you looked closely for an owner-installed power cut off switch? When you're tracing wires, you may find that someone has installed one for security and to prevent unauthorized use of the MV. Good luck on your acquisition. John

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I don't think that any Military Vehicles have ever been produced with "cly heads". In fact, a GOOGLE SEARCH for "cly heads" failed to educate me on what such a critter is.rofl I suspect that you were using texting abbreviations (which are NOT ALLOWED on the SS Forums) that you might have...

    Uses for Deuces

Thanks for posting up that video. Seems some shoveled sand EARLIER in the incident would have yielded more salvageable metal that those melted aluminum wheels. I'll be interested in the feedback you get on that radically modified deuce. Looks like you've enjoyed cutting her up and scabbing...

    N Arizona SEE Unimog

I believe that Mog is a SEE with the front-loader bucket removed. You can probably find more about the backhoe by Googling "SEE Military Vehicle" as they are a Mil-Standard entrenchment excavator produced in significant numbers.
