what kind of hardware do you need? if its from monroe personally, dont use an impact on it... use a torque wrench and go to your spec...my brother being the impact lover he is..just spun off a ser of new 3/4 inch shock bolts for his 87 chevy...with a cordless impact. We have 2 sets in the mail...

mad scientist....one great idea...we did that when running a 06 chevy truck loaded with a truck camper and 1000 lbs of gear, 1000lbs of flesh....averaged about 13 mpg first trip (out) pumped em up REAL HARD on the way back...(15.5) Mpg on the way back...it works!
cranetruck....you bring an interesting point in here...if it burns cooler....does that mean you could bump the fuel up two times as much to make it run in the regular diesel EGT range? Just a thought...Which in turn you would get more fuel...and possibly power??? Suggestions help...Im subbed!
Lets go do some vertical cow grille-ing hehe....ha I have seen some other FD and PD trucks with bigger, badder, heavier grilles....But they werent any use. Yours looks just right.
Also, if you have big snatch blocks and 2 anchor points rearward of the truck, you could probably get some nice leverage depending on what you set up. But no normal snatch is that big.
