Here's the promised video of the 419. Don't be too harsh on me, I'm still learning the ropes... but here she is. Enjoy! And let me know if you notice anything that needs attention.
The video is in 4k, but defaults to 1080 I think. If you want 4k you'll have to select that option on Youtube.
Thanks! At first I thought it might be some sort of dipstick added to make checking the oil easier. I yanked on it a bit, but it is rubbery and flexible so couldn't be a dipstick. A system for securing a rifle makes a lot of sense. I didn't take note of anything on the floor, but I also wasn't...
Thanks for the advice. Given what you've said, it may simply be that I didn't have the hand throttle set high enough; I was running just above idle as I tested things. I'll go out again in a little while and try again at maybe 2000 rpm. If it still doesn't work, I'll start looking at the other...
The only complaint I have so far, other than the RPM switch not working, is that I'm 6'4" so the cab is a bit of a tight squeeze... but I'm used to that - this world is not built to spec for me usually.
FYI: If anyone is looking for another SEE right now, the driver that delivered mine said...
Well, Jamestown is still in the works. Right now I'm still in a rental place up in the hills above Allegany, NY. There's a property near Jamestown that we're almost certainly buying, so I put that as my location, but it's not a done deal just yet.
All sorts of projects, to be honest... digging...
It's here!
It was dropped off at the road down from the property, so I didn't have the luxury of doing a complete check before moving it... needed to get it off the road. It started up instantly, and sounded really nice. The interior is immaculate... not even any tears in the seats. 971 miles...
A bit of a sneak peek for you guys - I got a call from the logistics company just now; my SEE is on it's way - should be here tonight. Here's the picture they sent me.
It keeps the mind occupied and keeps you feeling young inside. I'm a self taught programmer, mechanic, cook, etc. As that song from The Lion King says "There's more to see than can ever be seen, more to do than can ever be done".
Self improvement and education is the purpose of life, IMO. No...
Just so everyone knows, the funds for this purchase should actually be available tomorrow.
I don't know why I'm so excited to buy this thing; It's just a piece of equipment and I have legitimate, logical reasons to buy it - but I feel like a kid the night before Christmas. and of course, I'll...
Hey thanks. It was rough, and in that moment I couldn't imagine anything worse - my youngest son and I almost didn't make it out of there, and I spent a few weeks growing new skin on my hands, knees, feet and back. But yeah, everyone but the dogs made it out. They were just too scared and...
Oh the 32 has all that? The way I read your previous comment led me to believe that your new one is going to have those features, but this one does not. Yeah, that bumps it up a bit. I read it as "the new trailer is longer and has XYZ feature to boot", not "It's longer and also has XYZ...
We might be too far apart on that. I was thinking more like 22. I'll keep it in mind though and look at it again when I'm actually in the market for one.
I'm rebuilding basically everything. For now I'm focusing on house and acreage, but I couldn't pass up getting the 419 as it's fully functional and seems to be in excellent condition. I've always wanted one, and it will come in handy on the new property. Once I get settled and get it out to...
I didn't want to tell my life story here or sound whiny so I haven't gone into detail, but we just lost our home to a fire back in October and I'm currently rebuilding my life from scratch with the settlement from that incident. Right now we're in a rental while we look around for a new place. I...
