Hi,
The voltage is under 30 at the headlights. Will have to check it again to get the actual readings. I have went through 3 sets of headlights (they were the correct bulbs) trying to fix this issue. I need tips on how to troubleshoot the real problem. Because obviously what I have been doing is...
Hi,
The headlights on my M1165A1 have not worked since I've owned it. They burnout within minutes if I attempt to use them. I have installed a grounding harness and think I checked all the grounds. Also tried a different light switch, voltage regulator, and controller. All the voltage readings...
Hi,
Have a M1165A1 with a 400 amp Niehoff alternator. Been trying to fix a bouncing volt gauge needle. My question is about taking readings with a multimeter at the voltage regulator and battery's. Should the readings be pretty steady? Currently the readings fluctuate around +/- 1 or 2 volts.
Thanks
Hi,
Finally had time have someone come out and hook a computer to my truck. Ended up being 3 bad injectors. Had all 6 replaced and it running great now.
Thanks
Thanks for your smartass response to my post. I have already looked in the manual and it only lists a cable assembly. Unless I am missing it somewhere.
Hi,
Does anyone know the part number for the plug that bolts to the dash for the winch controller? Or, if anyone has a spare wiring harness they want to sell let me know.
Thanks
I am looking for some help with my M916A3 I purchased over the summer. It has a 60 Series Detroit diesel engine that is hard to start and idles rough. If I can get it to start it runs very rough at below 500 RPM. After sometime the RPM will climb by itself to alittle of 500 RPMs. The engine...
Hi Guys,
Thought I would let you know I finally got my truck rolling again in H range. When I started this thread I forgot to mention one very important thing, that I did not have a front driveshaft installed. Once I found and installed a front driveshaft everything worked fine. That and not...
Hi,
Ended up following the wiring diagram in the manual. Once a guy I work with explained it to me it was very easy. Purchased a 24 volt relay and mounted it in the battery compartment.
Thanks
Hi,
I was able to use a OEM throttle position sensor. The part number is AC Delco 213-879. After removing the plastic cam and kick down switch the TPS was a simple bolt on. I added the military Packard wire connectors.
Thanks
Thanks for all the help and ideas. But, it is starting to look like a bad transfer case. My truck drives/moves fine in HL and L. Truck does not move when it is in the H and N positions. It like I have two neutrals.
Hi,
Installed a used NP242 transfer case. Looks like I do not have High Range. HL, N, and L seem to work fine. Am I missing something here or is the transfer case junk? Seems weird the others work and H does not. Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Hi,
I have been working on installing a 4L80E in my M998. Almost to the point where I can start installing the controller I got from US Shift. If anyone has any installation tips they would be great appreciated. My main question is how/where do I connect the Power Wire? In the manual it says...
