I know its my tuck cause i can see item in my truck int he reflection and I personally took the other pic.
I really kind of hoped it wasn't going to come down to this.
Hey, I have an issue I need to find an answer for.
I have a relative that is taking care of my M1009 while I am overseas. When I was home here a few months ago I took a picture of my odometer just for S**** and Giggles.
this particular relative is not exactly been known for his honesty. In...
Some on here have been able to go with the 12.5 inch wide 33" tires, however some don't quite make it. I put on Goodyear AT's 33x10.5R15's and done enough off roading to know if any issues would arise. No issues to date at all, three years with these bad boys on.
I was talking about jumping a regular vehicle with a CUCV.
So what I have gathered is use the front battery only.
Now I swear I read here before that when jumping a CUCV with a regular vehicle you place the negative on the father battery and the positive on the closer battery. Was I just...
This is my M1009 with a 700lb CDN M101 1/4 ton trailer. With a rating of 1200lbs hauling this still allows me the ability to two 500lbs in the trailer.
The US Militaries M101 weighs 1340lbs, which is already 140lbs over what the M1009 is rated for. Ya you can pack more into it, but your...
As long as its running, when there is not and presure coming out of the exhaust then water comes in to the engine, not what I want to have happen to my CUCV, even if it means the off chance that it stalls while fording. To expensive of a chance to take.
No No the green truck is just a picture I found on the net picturing what i was thinking about doing to the exhaust, mine is the tan truck I just posted.
I know this is not that last thing I will have to do in order to make the truck fordable, but this is just the next step. Here is a picture of the truck as it sits now.
So after adding the snorkel to my M1009, I realize there is more to making your BOV (bug out vehicle) submersible than just the air intake.
Next on the list is an exhaust, that should obviously be just as high as the intake. so I was looking thorough the net and found this picture which has...
After everything read, I think I am happy with mine the way it is. Looks good with the 33 inch tires on it.
To much stuff involved to just up and change its center of gravity.
Welded in a 6 inch length of the same pipe over the oval and filled the gaps with weld, then connected the two with a 4 inch flexible coupler from NAPA.
I have no drawing the exhaust company did everything.
Currently not in Southern Cali, sorry. But I can point you in the right direction if...
