Which truck would make a better bobbed rig, assuming moderate off road driving plus 60 mph highway driving? We live at 7500 ft. elevation, so there would be a lot of up and down canyon driving in the snow. Thanks.

I am looking at getting a deuce or a 5 ton, and would like any feedback you can offer on the most trouble free engine - multifuel, CAT or Cummins or other? Are any engines problematic and should be avoided? Thanks!!
Does anyone make lockout hubs for 5 tons? If the answer is no, that might be the deciding factor in convincing me to plan for a deuce rather than a 5 ton.
With the budget problems we have, I doubt any bureaucrat could justify scrapping something that could be sold for cold hard cash, even if it is only 1500 bucks.
In Evanston, Wyoming right next to route I-80 they have several deuces with plows on them. They belong to the state highway department, and I think they only use them during extreme conditions where the regular snow plows prove insufficient.

I heard that the DOD wants to give the carrier to India for free, but India would have to buy the planes, parts, radar, training, etc. The idea is to prop India up a bit to be a counterbalance to China.
