Going to where I had the filters I just changed out, I realized the oil filters had the metal shield, not the fuel filters. However, the new oil filters I put in didn't have the metal shield. I don't know if this helps you, but I think you're ok putting the filters that don't have the shield on...
I believe the only filters seal against the top of the filter housing. There are gaskets on both end of the filter so it can be put in in either direction. The filters I removed had the metal housing as well, and the ones I put in did not and they fit fine. I'll try to find some photos and...
As a personal vehicle, you aren't required to stop at the weigh stations. I pass them all the time in Hampton and Suffolk and have never stopped (or been stopped, knock on wood).
If you are plowing snow with a deuce, antique plates are out, you will need regular plates.
What effect does changing the ratio of paint:thinner have on the final result. I'm asking because I'm painting a trailer with the same paint I used on my deuce, and I think I'm using the same ratio as before, but the color has almost no gloss to it. I did scrape the can and stirred it for quite...
His signature line lists 3 M35A3's, so I would assume it's an A3. If it were an A2, I would think having the "B" and "C" connections on the accessory switch reversed would keep the instruments energized no matter what the switch position. I have an A2, so I cant speak to the A3 electrical...
Bruce, I'm looking into having the covers made locally. I like spending my money where I live. It may not be any cheaper than the companies you listed (although $400+ for a cab top seems pricey to me) but I've been having a hard time finding suppliers of canvas work. Thanks for the...
Has anybody measured their M105A2 trailer cover and written down the measurements? I want to make a OD green canvas cover for my 1964 trailer, and think the canvas would look better than the bright green vinyl available these days. I've measured the trailer, and am looking more for how the...
I had to run my engine for a while to heat it up to remove the upper plug as well. I went to a local hydraulic store and spent about $20 on bulkhead fittings, hose fittings and a 90 and a 45 degree elbow. I'll post pics later tonight when I get home. I was nervous about running hoses through...
The fuel pump wire is labeled 654, and is powered when you turn the master switch to on. Tracing the wire from the fuel pump, it should go through a harness connector before joining with wire 27, which is the wire coming from the master switch.
Do a search for deuce wiring diagram that was...
Picked up a M105A2 trailer today from Michael @ the Richmond DLA GL site. Very nice guy, made sure I had a copy of the invoice before I left, and let me pull the trailer off to the side to do some PMCS on the trailer (jack up and spin the wheels, grease the springs, check out the lights, air up...
Check for a worn Pitman on coming off the steering box. My 98 Ram 1500 did the same thing after going over railroad tracks. Replacing the pitman arm solved the problem.
we just got over 25' of snow here, and I was told there was HEAT in the tank, but I'm freezing my butt off. Could someone post a 8 x 10 glossy photo of the controls, with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back, describing what the pictures show? Also, I was told this tank had a magazine...
Welcome to the club, I know you'll enjoy your deuce. I wish you were closer, I'd let you drive mine to help pick up my M105A2 trailer this Friday.
I don't know if you meant it, Oddshot, but the GANG pun (Georgia National Guard?) was amusing. :D
