Soft top question I haven't seen before..

Enough about the front plastic coming off, I want to know what the purpose of the full-length channel/tube/loop on the back of the soft top is for? I've already got rope going through the individual loops to hold the top down, and just noticed the long loop underneath/behind them. Is that for...

The First Modification To Your Deuce

Since I repainted my deuce back to original color, I don't consider it a modification. My first mod is installing a jeep heater under the dash and plumbing it into the coolant system. A cup holder is next.

Is it worth pulling the oilpan?

I'm eventually going to reinstall the original primary filter with the reusable element. As I posted earlier, there was not a spring or cup in the filter, and the filter element was loose in the housing. So the plan is to leave the spin on filter installed until I can get the pieces needed to...

Is it worth pulling the oilpan?

Well, before I found out the primary filter was reusable, I ended up buying a spin on filter set up, a Baldwin FB1311. I guess I'll keep the old filter, or reinstall it and use the new filter base for a coolant filter. Thanks for all the advice, that's why I love this board. Fuel filters are...

Is it worth pulling the oilpan?

I'm going to make a run to NAPA and see if they have the spring/cup assembly to replace what's missing in this housing. This IS the filter below the generator, on the right front side of the engine compartment. I just hope when I go to pull the secondary fuel filters out they have all the...

Is it worth pulling the oilpan?

So it looks like someone has replaced my primary filter with a secondary??

Is it worth pulling the oilpan?

Starting with the fuel filters, here are pics of the old and new filters. THEY LOOK NOTHING ALIKE. Did I get sent the wrong filter? Besides the holes in the new filter being bigger, the filter rattles around in the can when I put it together. I took it apart for the pics. The new oil/secondary...

    My 1st Deuce

Your friend bought you a deuce? If any of my friends read this, I'd like a 5 ton please. With an extended box, if possible. Nice truck, interesting camo scheme. I bought my first deuce after a friend bought a bobbed deuce with huge tires and brought it home. Mine's stock, working on...

Is it worth pulling the oilpan?

Getting ready to do the first fluid/filter change on my M35A2 since I got it. I'm hoping to see a little mileage increase from the new filters. I was wondering if it is worth pulling the oilpan and cleaning it out, and if so, questioning whether I should wait to get a new oil pan gasket or...

    Took my deuce across America

Nice story. Glad to get an outsider's opinion of my local area (Hampton/Va Beach) and surprised you couldn't find a Walmart, they seem to be everywhere. I've thought of taking a similar trip, and agree with the cot/cooler suggestion.

    First trip out the gate...

Enjoy the drive. I've had my truck for a year, and the longest I've driven it is about 70 miles (one way) to a gathering of friends. I want to make a 350-mile trip this spring/summer, and so far have no reason to believe the truck won't make it.
