LOOKS NICE!!!! At lease you dont have to worry about people casing your home if you leave your garage door up. Most crooks use open garage doors to see a way on or see what tools they can come back for.
They will look in yours see a tank looking back at them, and keep on moving lol
The madness continues. Got this in the mail today.
They are New Old Stock, NOS, Grote LED brake lights. Got a good price on them on the bay, and he has more, different colors, with or without buckets.
I got mine without buckets, and these things are freaking bright!!!! They are also printed...
I would say it also depends on the bases. I have been on Camp Pendleton to apply for a job with a buddy of mine. We were both in suits and looking the part. Got to main gate. MPs never asked for ID or checked vehicle or papers. Just told them we were there to apply for Civy MP, and he...
Judging by your name, I bet you work for that department you got it from, or a neighboring one? lol
Anyway I was about to suggest to check the wiring to the siren. If you can look up the install manual for it, they are out there, trust me ;) It maybe as simple as turning on the siren power...
Also, since you JUST got yours, how did they let you pick it up? Take you to it, let you do what you had to do? Or did they forklift it to your truck. Did they hurry you along, or not care? I assume since you said you were looking around 8109, that you went out to the trailers.
Just asking...
Welcome to the site. I take it that this was not your first EUC? Yours cleared really fast if it was your first! And yes mine was 8109. Was yours from the 12/27 lot?
Still waiting on my EUC, I knew this was going to be long but it is torture, just evil.
So I did a few things to make a smoother ride.
-I plan on leaving the hitch combo on the Expedition 24/7, locked to the receiver. Just like a review said on eTrailers, it rattles a little in the receiver...
I would do Maine reg, but CA is only 20 bucks for 5 years. Plus if you are a resident, you have 10 days to register your vehicle in the state. So having an out of state plate would not fly very long.
I am going to try to get a length of chain and then some of those rated links.
I know this is old, but coming from law enforcement. Usually confidential means the vehicle was registered as a law enforcement vehicle or similar, and it may have something in the registration that may prevent it from being transfered to Joe Schmoe.
I have seen it is almost every vehicle...
On a side note, is that an Explorer your towing the trailer with? I was looking at some 105s but didn't want to try it with my Expedition
Edited to add, never mind, I see it is a Tahoe/Burban. How did it tow?
Well I am looking at the auctions that are at Barstow right now, and trailers with dents and dings are going for what mine went for. One with rust and major damage are going to same or less, and ones that look like mine are going for like a hundered more what I got mine for. Ones with rails are...
Very true lol. But Ford is one make I have not had huge problems with. I am not one to say one truck is better then another but after having a lemon of a S-10 Blazer that would be 3k in repairs every 3-6 months for about 8 years, THAT CHEVY SUCKS!!!! It is still sitting in my yard. If I ever...
Here are some profile pics to show better how a pintle looks on an Expedition. I tried looking for pics before, closest I found was and Explorer and a M101. The trailer was about as big as the Explorer.
I am also going to try to bring a tie down strap and use that to hold the leg up in worst case. So I am hoping that it will lock in.
I was told it was a 3/8 x 4 inch bolt. So I bought a 3/8 x 5.5 hitch pin.
And I was already ahead of you, as you asked for the pic, I was already writing...
Woke up today to find two packages at my door. I am half asleep right now, but decided to open my presents.
I got my riser bar, a 5-hole cushioned mount. Which I put the pintle on and put it on my truck. The height is around 23 1/2 - 23 3/4. So it looks like it is going to be a perfect...
The bolts came with the hitch, grade 8 :)
And thank you for the info for the leg, some I saw were listed as rear, some as front, but looked exactly the same, but I figured they were rear legs.
And I got the hitch pin just for the brake lockout. Figured it would look cleaner then a bolt...
Well it was partly Christmas for me today. I got a few packages from USPS and FedEx.
I got my pintle hitch/ball combo.
I got my 12 volt bulbs, as well as bullet connectors. I ordered 50 pairs of mail and female connectors, if I add lights to the trailer I rather plug and play and not...
Yup, I am finding those excuses to be true. I am already looking at welders and watching videos on how to weld. The only experience I have close to welding is using a cutting torch when I was like 12 with my dad to take down an old fence of a hog pen.
I plan on getting a welder in about...
