THERE IS A HIGH ONE, elbo, AND A LOW ONE. THE LOW ONE IS THE SLOBBER DRAIN, THE HIGH ONE CONNECTS TO THE AIR CANISTER UNDER THE STARBOARD SIDE OF THE ENGINE AND PROVIDES AIR PRESSURE TO THE SEALED BRAKE SYSTEM. JUST REMEMBER TO DRAIN THAT CANISTER REGULARLY OR YOU'LL PUMP OIL INTO THE BREAKS
They were designed in this configuration, with an aluminum block , 3 cylinder Detroit Diesel featuring 53 cubic inches per cylinder. The 3-53 Detroit was a two stroke engine that could produce 101 horsepower and 217 lb-ft of torque.The original pilot design had an aircooled corvair engine.
I drove one with a 454 V8 but that doesn't mean it's supposed to be there. The Military definitely didn't do it. Maybe one guy did it. And, Sounds like you got a bunch of yourself, GOT ME??
