2014 Lighted Christmas Parade Centralia WA, Dec. 13

We ended up with 5 vehicles. 43 MB, 53 M38A1C, 67 M715, 84 M923, 86 M923A1. Sorry for the picture quality. They were taken in low light with not that great of a camera, and less of a photographer. There were 65 other units in the parade and one stray M715 that was painted red that a man had...

    New M923A2 Owner

Go for the truck. From the photos, you got a pretty nice one. There will be a way to get it titled. Your state doesn't title older vehicles with a bill of sale? I bought an M54 from the city and they had not gotten a title from the government, so they wanted to void the sale, but I took the...

    PNW Info Thread!

Don't know for sure, but of course WA goes by the rule that they haven't ever seen an environmental law that they don't like. It will pay to keep a look out, maybe we could sway a legislator to come to their senses. Have to go put a sweater on before global warming overcomes me.

    PNW Info Thread!

Anyone want to tag along on 13 December for the lighted Tractor Parade in Centralia. I put the information on upcoming events. You will need to bring a generator or power converter and a lot of lights for your rig. We will meet at my house about 1400, light up the trucks, have a hamburger and...

WSUCougar's M925A1 Acquisition and Build Thread

Looking great Coug. I have one more inexpensive mod that you could do to the instrument panel. Home depot has a battery powered LED light, about 12 bucks that has a magnetic base, that fits at the top of the instrument panel and when turned on gives a light that you can actually see the...

2014 Lighted Christmas Parade Centralia WA, Dec. 13

Any takers for the parade this year? So far it is looking like a couple of M923's, WW2 jeep, maybe the M38A1C, and a WW2 1 1/2 ton Chevy. I will turn in registration tomorrow. Let me know so I can plan for food. I am going to practice Saturday at the regular Christmas Parade in Chehalis. It...

original vs. restored, how are they valued?

Northwood, that is great that you are going to be able to preserve the unit history of the truck. Do you have any time line of where it came from when it left the service? Keep em runnin!

    Need M1101 / M1102 tarp bow dimensions

Yes, that does show the shorter bow in the front and it looks like the bows have a crown to them as well. Makes sense as maybe the water will run off better unlike the truck cargo tops that often times sag and hold water.

Did you get your brake issue repaired? How is the truck coming along? Any progress?

original vs. restored, how are they valued?

Now you will have the fun and opportunity to do some Marine Corp research on proper vehicle markings. You might also find a friend or relative that you respect that served in the Marine Corp and paint it in their unit markings as a tribute. Sometimes you can have some success finding the...

original vs. restored, how are they valued?

You need to get a few pics of serial number 11 up for others to enjoy. It was really interesting to get to see the prototype Gamma Goat at the MVPA convention two years ago. It is amazing that something so early has somehow survived. But back to the earlier value questions, even with a red...

original vs. restored, how are they valued?

You are asking a difficult question and I would say your truck, at least from the picture looks to be on the upper end of a restored vehicle. I have a 1967 M715 with 16,000 miles on it and except for the canvas, which has been replaced, this is a dead stock, original vehicle, right down to the...

    New Member M38A1 Edinburgh Scotland

You have a good looking M38A1 there. They are a comfortable and dependable jeep. Have had mine for 28 years with just oil changes, a brake job, and some new tires.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Replaced the windshield wipers. NAPA is having a sale right now on the 14" 60-1450 blades. Don't lose the tapered piece on the shaft that the wiper arm slides on. It is a pain to find another one of those, but if you need to, the ANCO part number is 51-14 and there are two options and you are...

Auburn Veterans Day Parade 8 Nov. 2014

Mission accomplished. We had 5 vehicles turn out per this invitation. A 1941 Dodge half ton command car, M37, M151, 1965 Abbott, 1984 M923, and there was a M 35 that had to go support the effort of a different group. Will try to put some pictures in tomorrow. Thought for next year, it will...

Well you have to pay for this green stuff somehow. Sorry to hear that Scott. Looks like weather is going to cooperate and we should have a few vehicles. Talk to you soon, P-
