Bump, I’m heading down to the Atlanta area in a few weeks. If anyone along the way has wrecker BII send me a PM. I have a bunch but I’m looking for the whole kit.
The chain pictured is 3/8” and was later issue for the wreckers. I have one but need another since they were issued with 2. They also came with 5/8” chains and 3/4” chains but I already have those.
I'm looking for some more items that were issued with the m62 and newer 5 ton wreckers. Maybe you've picked one of these up in a surplus lot or with a truck. I'm located in VT but will be traveling to GA in mid October.
3 pound straight peen/ cut off blacksmith hammer. 16" wood handle...
I’m looking to buy a chain issued with 5 ton wreckers. It’s 3/8”x14.5ft long overall. I’ll add an nsn when I get a chance to look at the TM.
Yes I know I could just make one but I’m looking for the military issue chain to match the one I have (2 are issued with a wrecker). If you have one...
Looking for one of these inspection lights in good condition. The cord is 25ft long and the plug is the same as a typical single pole automotive lightbulb plug. The extension cord is 25ft long as well, and includes a male and female plug of that same style. Both are shown in the picture below.
That style hitch is interchangeable with the pintle. It could be found on the earlier series military drash trailers, and last I knew it was still available new from certain trailer parts dealers as well.
Yes it is. That’s a later model no7 wrecker set.
Meant for the back of a truck for towing. It also works good for loading a truck/trailer with stuff, although that’s not the original intent.
There’s a really great group on these tugs on Facebook. The admin has most of the original build cards for clarktors. If you’re able to read the serial number on the dash plate above the gauges, it’s pretty likely he can show you the build card and where it was originally shipped to from the...
They’re off of one of the earlier style drash trailers. That whole assembly is not quite bolt on for an m101, it’s welded to an extra reinforcement where it attaches to the A-frame. But you could cut that extra off or just use the lunette itself in the m101a2/a3 hitch as it’s all...
Unfortunately nothing has been done to the m108 lately, work and too many other projects have gotten in the way as usual. Also added a working m62 wrecker to the fleet a while back which will probably end up ahead of the crane on the list.
Since the last update I did acquire the original...
