    New guy in MA

I think you gotta get a few more thread posts under your belt before you can post pictures. Welcome to the site! In what part of MA are you located? My father in law has a place on Buzzard's Bay. I love visiting there. Rick

Anyone interested in renting their lmtv for hurricane relief?

Back in Costa Rica, I would send my wife into the river waters out ahead of the truck to do the depth checking. Rick

    Trailer mod advice

I think that manufactured home companies sometimes remove and stock pile axle assemblies after a home is placed. Sorry, it's not a strong lead, but it may be something worth exploring. Rick

    Looking for a decent M35A2

Hi Corey, welcome to the site. My recommendation is to look at and drive as many deuces as you can before making a selection. Each truck has a few differences and idiosyncrasies that give them their individual character. Perhaps some members in your area will chime in on how to hook you up with...

2018 Georgia Military Vehicle Rally buy-sell-trade

I'm looking for: 1) A single hoop for the deuce bed cover. 2) Complete seat covers for passenger and spring seat 3) Better quality seat foam for the spring seat base!!! 4) A pair of round OD or black spot mirrors with brackets and clamps 5) Trailer (M105) light pigtail I doubt I'll be able to...

    Turn signal indicator lamp/alarm

There's a thread here on the site somewhere. A member modified the turn indicator lamp circuit to let out the sound while looking original. I'll go practice my google-foo. Edit: member cranetruck apparently created an elegant solution: http://mayapplebrandstedt.com/maybrand4.html Rick

No start and a big mess up with batteries

Hi Shadow, sorry to hear about your unwanted welding lesson. I don't have much to offer you about the fuel situation, but it sounds like you have some ideas to explore and work on in that area. Interstate Batteries or some other similar battery supplier in your area usually has the ability to...

Move M817 from Middle Tennessee to South Florida

I have experience exporting ex military vehicles, but not to Haiti. I urge you to learn about vehicle import requirements into Haiti. You will want confirmation that an unregistered vehicle can be legally imported. Rick

    New wannabe owner here

Hiya phoneman, and welcome to the site. I don't much about South Carolina or what constitutes the mid-lands, but I'll be getting an education soon! My wife has accepted a job with your state and we will be relocating from here (Costa Rica) to somewhere, 30 minutes or less, outside Columbia...

    Latest Find: Half Track

What an incredible find! What would be the consensus of this group: Complete restoration back to it's original condition, or simply get it all working and usable? My vote would to leave it in its's current beautiful state and get it running reliably. I just love that weathered look! Rick

M880 Fuel Problems: Welp - I'm Out of Ideas

I'll pile on with the carby float adjustment, and add an extremely long shot: If the fuel tank is not venting, that could be a source of fuel starvation. You might try simply removing the fuel cap and running the engine to test this possible issue.

I finally got a hardtop for the bed of my truck.

Interesting trailer! But having owned a few M105 trailers, I'm wondering how you access the side and rear openings of that hard top. Isn't it gonna be too high to reach? Or do you carry along a raised platform that you set up on the ground around the trailer? Rick

12/24 volt fleet style charger with slave port

That's a nice solution, Coastie. I'm interested to know where you located the external mount box for the slave port receptacle. I tried searching for the "Monster battery charger" but all I come up with are small units for providing USB power. Would you please give us the charger part number? Rick

    Member Map

Any update on the map hosting? It is almost certain I'll be moving to Lexington South Carolina at the end of July. I'm hoping to network with some fine members in the area, as I'm looking to find a place with some space to build a big ole barn for parking some OD out of the sun and rain. Sorry...

    Heating a seized engine. Ideas?

This discussion seems to be based on freeing an engine that has seized due to rust and corrosion in the cylinders. I don't know if that's from knowing the history of the machine, or if it's from an assumption. If it's stuck for another reason, say a spun bearing, then perhaps you may have other...

    A not-so-funny story (hz)

He's there. His personal data indicates he's from East Bridgewater, MA. That jives with his phone number area code. That's all I got. I'll take off my Sherlock Holmes replica hat now. Rick

    Side of the road (again)

Will, does the engine have any other signs, like a lumpy idle or a missing pulse in the exhaust note? Those might be good telltales for the OP to consider with his issue. Rick
