Made it to the GL compound on the Little Rock Air Force Base today. Spent about four hours prepping the truck. Oil was about an inch high on the stick after warm up but ten gallons of fresh diesel and a half gallon of out board motor oil and two new batteries and she cranked right up. It...
It's rated at 2.6 gpm @ 3000psi, I have a friend who uses an electric at 1600 psi and his does pretty well with less flow, I will know for sure as soon as I find a decent sandblasting attachment.
I have been looking for a power washer to use as a sand blaster, hate the dust, I was in Home Depot yesterday and they have changed out their displays, one of the changes is the Ridgid 3000 psi washer, retailed for $599 I got it for $400! It has a Subaru 6 horse engine and a cat triplex pump...
All:
Thanks for the offers of help and the rant? I aborted the mission yesterday about two and a half hours into the trip when I was held up by a traffic accident on I-40. Not enough time to kick the tires for my taste before driving it the back roads home! I plan on getting there early...
Heading down to Little Rock Air Force Base this morning to have a look/repair the deuce I won down there. Thought I would top off all the fluids, air up the tires after I get her started and do a field repair on the dog bone for a drive home early next week.
As far as I can tell it was an air force truck for the last 5-6 years with little to no maintenance done on it in that time? Any help with the dog bone is appreciated. I am going to drag my feet on the EUC, I have a plant shutdown in the third week of August which would work out great, of...
I placed a low bid on a Deuce at Little Rock AFB today and won it for $1120, are they down that much or were they scared off by the suspension damage? It is worth more that that for scrap!!
Now how do or do I need to fix the suspension damage to drive it 70 miles home?
I think the manual tells you to hook up the charging vehicle first then the "to be started vehicle" then crank up the charging vehicle to avoid damage to either vehicle!
I am going to try and make it back out there to take some more pics of the engine, the truck is in great condition, it even has a full pioneer tool set mounted.
I have been looking for a M52 for a couple of years, now I have found one almost in my backyard. The good part is the truck has been in inside storage as some museum excess up until a few years ago. The bad is they just wanted it for the external appearance so when the engine was found to be...
I am going to have to try Cascade again, the last time I used it I got really poor results! But my oil cooler did dump a ton of oil into the coolant. I may try a combination of Dawn and Cascade, we use Dawn to clean our industrial equipment, I know it works!
