Hello I have an 802A I recently acquired and it seems to run decent but there is a lot of fuel I guess all over the engine compartment. ( please bear with me on this since I don't have a sense of smell fuel and oil ect are all very similar to me when there is just a fine coating) I haven't seen...
Hello. I hope I'm doing this correctly. Is this a new thread labeled mep 803a?
I just got home with one of these. Can someone tell me the name and size of the nipple that the water line ties to behind the alternator? I'll post some picks. The nipple is broke off and someone had stuck an ear...
Hello. Thanks again for being here and so willing to help people. Can you please help me figure out how to make a new thread? I would like to make one for each of my gens. I'm looking around on here and not seeing the make my own thread tab.
Copy that. I was traveling the last couple days actually picking up my now third gen. Lol. Now I just have to figure out how to make new threads. Thank you
Thanks for the advise about a new thread.
I don't know about these trailer part numbers yet but yes it is a drop down leg but it is adjustable I bought an 804 and an 802 and they both have the same leg once I got it apart a bunch of broken pieces fell out. I'll use my phone in a minute and...
About these no fuel floats. Does anyone know where we can get just the float for these switches? I think the float has lost Buoyancy. Heck I would replace the switch but everyone is out of stock and I'm pretty sure its the float anyway. If I find a place to get them I will share it.
Of course! After posting pics like that I'm almost afraid to admit that electrical is my trade. I wasn't doing that work for money but for fun though. I considered using space heaters or heat guns but I wanted to give it a nice even three phase load. I ordered a 15kv heat kit for a furnace that...
Lol. I have been curious what people were going to say about my load bank. One thing nice it's a purely resistive load and very consistent. The dry sand actually worked pretty well to dissipate the heat.
I built an improv load bank. I posted pics earlier. I used heater coils from an electric furnace and wired them three phase and well laid them on the dirt and let them get hot. between the sand they were laying on and a breeze they did pretty good and pulled a nice even 30 amps per phase. If you...
While I was load testing the 804A it was throwing out quite a bit of black chunks out the exhaust. Does this usually mean that it hasn't been run in a while or maybe that it hasn't been loaded hard for a long time? The longer I left the load on it the more it seemed to settle into it.
Also my...
Thanks for the info. I have a new addiction and it's buying and playing with these generators so I think I might end up on here a lot. I better learn the ropes
I haven't done that but it seems to be the only thing that makes sense. If I take it out and check it then when I put it back in it is good but the next day it's closed again. I thought maybe it had a crack and filled then sank. Thanks for confirming that that happens. Someone told me that...
Hello guys.
I bought an 802a and the jack needs rebuilt the piece that runs up and down on the screw and holds the foot is broken. Does anyone know where I can get those parts? Is it rebuildable?
I ran this with this load for about 30 minutes checking Temps and watching pressure ect. I just bought this not long ago and haven't had a chance to play with it and check to see if I got hurt or not. So far so good I guess
So I am still having the problem with the float switch. It is definitely the switch because I check the switch with my ohm meter and it is closed. If I take the switch out and move it manually it acts as it should. Hmmmm?.
Aside from that I made a poor man's load Bank and pulled 30 amps per...
I think that's for an 802a right? I have that green also but I'm asking about the 804. Is it possible the float in the 804 can leak fill up and sink. I really thought I was on to something.
