Just talked to eriks military surplus. $165 for a 5 ton airpack rebuild kit. That is cheaper than a $500 airpack. Now im heading to napa auto, to pick up a couple cylinder hones. Even though I have a 5 ton, this thread is still very resourcefull. :thumbup:
time for a 5ton airpack rebuild. Just checked my brake fluid, it was empty. Looked under the truck and saw brake fluid residue on the airpack vent. :eek:
For all you guys with a sprouts farmers market near by, I found pure peppermint 100% with no sugar, for aroma therapy. The lady I asked at the market knew right away when I told her what I was looking for, and what the use would be. And yes I found rodent droppings in my 818 today. Ill keep...
I put 300 miles on the truck over new years. No major issues other than my tach not working and the front pass side hub getting hotter than all the others. im gonna check the brakes out and see if they might be outta adjustment. also when driving for a while it seems the 1st push on the brake...
Gonna be spending new years out in the desert camping. Leaving menifee this afternoon, hopefully arriving in ocotillo ca before midnite. Lots of excited friends and family waiting to ride in the 818! Pics to come.
i have a droid, i use tapatalk. im on SS all day everyday, ive been downloading the tm's to my phone while im with family at christmas. i just bought my 1st mv, and having access to SS on my phone has been a huge huge help to me. you can use it as a tool or not, but thats my 2cents
my tach is broken in my 818 and im new to the nhc 250. when i am accelerating am i gonna over rev the motor? i understand downshifting and overrevving and downhill overrevving but what about just on flat ground? reason i ask, ive been driving carefully and a couple times it felt like the motor...
Im glad to see everyones concern for safety, these trucks are old heavy and a little different then modern day trucks. The short amount of time ive spent in my truck so far has made me realize how much respect we need to have for these vehicles. ie: i picked up my dads 35 ft long bounder...
