Try the usual suspects: Saturn Surplus, Memphis Equipment, Boyce Equipment, Desert Deuce, Belt Fed, White Owl Parts, or worse come to worse,

I guess this is why my trucks are registered as pickups, with the 13,450 Lbs tare and 23,450 gross on the M35A2, and 6100 and 9100 lbs on the Unimog ditto. It keeps the cops off my tail when I'm hauling for myself (non-commercial). Texas does have a "Former MV" license...

Good luck on your trip with the M1028, remember, she may not be geared for higher speeds, so you may want to get used to the truck by not pushing her too hard. Often a lot of our trucks have sat much of their lives, and it takes them awhile to...

Glad to hear you got the part and have the truck up and running. If you could be so kind, let us know how she does in the next cold snap, as we don't get them very often down here. Mine started 5 out of 6 days when the weather was below freezing...

Check on GL, if Red River Army Depot in Texarkana ever breaks loose with that field of overhauled Deuces, you can get them both boobed and unboobed (I couldn't resist, sorry).I had to pick a genset up there in May 2008 and I was positively drooling at the neat...

What Roscoe and wb1895 said.... These babies are not toys, they have the damage potential of a small locomotive depending on speed.... so you really want to know that they are in good operation and mechanical condition, and you ALWAYS want to play the game in your mind...

Good luck on the hunt for the HMMWV components, but I want to see what happens when you try to reimport one into the US, as I am pretty certain Customs will want to look your paperwork over very closely.

The rant was unnecessary, and...

Regrettably, if we want this armor and related equipment to survive for the ages, it must be indoors, maintained, and out of reach of the visitors.... If you want to see how handling affects display items, I could show you a reproduction 1842 Harpers Ferry .69 cal...

Surfdog:
I would suppose your truck is an Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran, due to the shipping weighbill and bar code. I have seen numerous Desert Shield/Desert Storm veteran deuces, and generally the paper weighbills got separated from the trucks, but unit markings and...

OL AG '89:
The pertinent information is on Olive Drab.com, aother military vehicle and equipment collectors site, but the pertinent sections of the Texas Code are as follows:

You'll love the canvas untill you have to Canvak them every three months or so to retain any water repellancy! How do I know? I have a Swiss S404.114 Cargo Unimog with a canvas top, and here in relatively dry (Except lately) North East Texas, it...

Yes, the Patton Museum is moving to Fort Benning. I put in for the Curator's position, which I would love to have because of the Armor collection, and I was told the position was for accountability in preparation to the move.... I have no clue whether I made the cut...

If the A3 has AAS, that would probably be part of the problem in regards to air usage, but it could be air pack seals and even drain valves and glad hand valves not set right (closed fully). My truck when it came from its last owner would...

Now that you've had the starter out, call Mr. Kivett at White Owl Parts, he will have the solenoid you are looking for as NOS, it may not be on the computer, but they do have them. They also have completely new starters available, no core need be returned. It...

Nice WC! Boy, those WWII guys were really tough as you almost never see a WC or CCKW, or MB/GPW with side curtains and doors:shock:.I'll bet the Battle of the Bulge sucked from a truck drivers perspective. We got 8-12" of snow yesterday afternoon and...

Regrettably both Acetomatoco and Armyman30Plus have left the stage, both were regretted in their passing, as they were fountains of information and decent gentlemen. I suspect from your original post that you are dealing with a 1971 M35A2, perhaps like my...

I have experience on steam, diesel and electric locomotives as engineman, and have rebuilt passenger cars, locomotives and cabooses.... The smelling like sulphur is only the least nastiness the steam locomotives provide you with..... but then I'm only 52...

The air brake buzzer may be going off at low speeds if you have an Air-o-Matic steering (Air assisted steering) unit as it can outrun the air supply at low RPMs and set the buzzer off. CTIS, you're on your own, as I have no experience whatsoever with it...
