Well my goal with this wasn’t a public rant. I wasn’t naming any names and not looking to cause issues. I just need the truck running because I sold one of my service trucks and now I’m in a bad spot.
I thought it was odd that someone would flush a trans with 7000 miles on it 3 times with...
Thanks for the info.
Pretty sure Beltfed isn’t gonna take this trans back. I called the Allison dealer and I’m going to drop the trans off next week to have them look at it. Guess I should have done more research ahead of buying this one. The worst part is the guy that sold it knew the trans...
I never really adjust the mirrors on any of my vehicle so I didn’t wire the power for mirror movement.
I just cut one of the wires for the motor and used that plus the ground and wired it into the door light.
I may hook up the mirror heat at some point. Could put a switch on the door and run...
The mirrors are for a Freightliner Cascadia. Got them on eBay. Link below.

Here’s a couple pics since I installed the lights on...
The crate doesn’t match the trans. Wonder what Allison would charge to check/test it. They have a trans dyno. Really hope I didn’t buy a $4000 POS

All the gaskets are new and would appear just from the looks of the outside that it was rebuilt. Other than that, I don’t really have any information. Purchased it from Beltfed on eBay. He apparently sells a lot of military parts.

Perfect. That’ll work. You leaving the PTO attached and then swapping it when it’s out from under the truck?
Hopefully the trans I bought is compatible. This would really suck if it’s not.

90 minutes! That’s encouraging. Been dreading this for a month or so.
Yeah I was thinking of lowering it with a crane. Wasn’t sure if I should have the truck up on ramps to be able to slide the trans out or if I should just lift the front of the truck up with my service truck. Didn’t know how...
Well I’ve lost my battle with the transmission issues I’ve been having with the truck. Called an Allison dealer and they’re thinking $10-$12,000 to rebuild.
Decided to buy a trans on eBay which looks to be surplus and rebuilt. Going to put it in next month when I get a little more time...
