    picking up my deuce

RE: deuce is home Nice truck...If you drive it in the northern part of the state let me know I'd love to see it. Cool score on the issued tools and the air hose. I had to make mine up when I had my duce.

looking for the upper a arm shaft m151a2

Spare shaft? I'm a little slow tonight maybe it's winter setting in, but I don't understand what part your looking for. Are you looking for the upper A arm? Or are you looking for an axle shaft?

    General Deuce Questions

Get a CUCV. There are a couple in the forsale section. If you own a duce in suburbia you almost have to put it in a storage lot because neighbors just don't understand OD. Good luck.

Frame-up restoration... er, unibody-up restoration done.

Nice job by your neighbor.....and I'm going to nit pick...:) Tell him to turn the spare gas can around. The spout should face the spare tire. This was common practice with M151s because a full can would exspand and if the seal was not the best (which they never are) the can could leak onto...

    Running out of fuel

You were lucky in getting the engine to restart diesels don't like air in the fuel system...Rule #3...don't run out of fuel on a duce and carry that extra 5 gal can on the running board full for just such an emergency...in case you don't head rules 1 and 2.

    Pics of van body removal

Nice pics. Are you turning it into a cargo truck or just wanted the van body off so you could clean things up?

    Camo Pattern....

RE: Re: RE: Camo Pattern.... Yes it is basically the four color camo from the mid 70's to the mid 80's. It looks GI to me. Probably has runs and sags in it too...lol.

    my modified m882 project

If you want to do a what if or concept dodge wouldn't the cummins 6BT be a better diesel since that is what dodge offered at that time?

    Shop van...rv?

RE: RV Problem with the expandable bodies is if you look at the last pic the line down the middle of the body where you have the light green and the dark gray are the celing and floor when the thing is open up. So you don't really have all that much room for the camper gear unless you plan on...

    M-220 almost ready!

    M151s built in Asia?

Asa far as I know Ford, Willys/Kaiser, and AMG were the only manufactures of M151. I agree above probably a left over from the Veitnam war. Maybe even just left there when we pulled out. Then fixed up by the local population.

Question about Engine Swaps on the M715

The GM 6.2 or 6.5 with trans as stated above will work very well as has Cummins 4BTs out of bread/delivery trucks with attached transmission also work.

    youtube M151 crash test video

I've seen that before. It was in the early 70's its a M151A2 they distroy and it looks like they have a simple roll bar and the dummys are seat belted in. In a normal 151 the driver and passinger with out seat belts would have been thrown. Maybe early ROPS testing??

Well my $400 M35 turns out not to be such.....

I was going to ask the same thing......There is a company I think that makes a one piece replacement windshield...I forget who it was now.

    M880's 2nd Life

Mike, just get a good automotive paint for the frame. Your local parts store that carries paint should be able to hook you up with a semi-gloss black. The POR-15 is what is going to protect the frame the top coat is for finnish more than anything.
