First off, I have to disagree that a full time wears out the axle sooner than a part time.
The full time is constantly getting lubed where a part time sits in one position the lube eventually runs off, condensation can build up, rust occur then you engage the hubs and mix the rust &...
No problem there. although with that size tire, in certain off road conditions the fronts could contact the fender. although the day that I did have those tires on the M886 and hit a few trails, nothing rubbed. My M882 sits higher in the front, but has seen some serious off roading and the...
Well I went with the BFG's to keep the stock appearance.
The wide 16's with their current tires are going on a misfit truck for now. ( 84 S10 Ext Cab, working on extending the cab for a full back seat , putting the dana 60 & 44 from a parts M882, might even go with Mopar engine & trans too)...
The M886 needs tires. I can get BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A's in a 31-10.50R16.5
The original 9.50-16.5 are pretty close to 31".
I could also take the wheels & 285/75R16 (33-11.50) Mud Rovers off the M882
and get new 33-12.50R16's Mud Rovers for the M882 putting them on some 10" wide rims like...

Then I look around on the main site, and look some more, and
No mention of the original CUCV, yep that's right the M880 series! You know the truck that broke the ground for the...
I don't know much about the 151's but as far as octane goes I know a thing or 2.
Compression ratio and spark advance determine the optimum octane for each engine, too low of an octane is bad as it will cause pre-ignition which can burn holes right through the pistons, too high and it will not...
My son was using the M882 to haul debris to a brush pile on my boss's farm.
Actually buried it like this in reverse :freaked: the night before these pics were taken after the water level dropped about 8inches and after quite a bit of shoveling.
The truck had made it through the nasty slop and...
With GSA you are dealing with gov't, with GL you are dealing with a business.
I trust the DNR & Forest Service personel that have the vehicle to tell me whats wrong with it far more than someone that's getting a 10% commision from it.
That being said, GSA is bad don't bid on anything they...
Hey no problem, a mid michigan get together is a mid michigan get together.!
I usually head down to the river for the canoe marathon, it starts in Grayling it comes within a couple miles of home on it's way to Oscoda.
I am still planning on a Memorial weekend campout in the forest along the...
