I can tell you that Xylene works great on the fuel varnish. Carb cleaner makes it even stickier! Don't even think of your parts washer!!!!!! Be sure to clean all of the fuel pump screens.

OK, I did some looking at the differences between the shows and I see that the one by Joe and Paul has an SM after it which from what I can gather is called a Michigan Service Mark. I do not really know what that is. I get the impression that maybe they ran the show for a bit and now are not...
WHOA! Easy there Hatman. I have a very open mind. As I read the first part of your reply I was very interested in the other side of the story, then you slammed the door with the second part! I have kids, there is ALWAYS another side to the story.
I only posted that as an observation not a fact...
This showed up on the G838 board also so I did a little searching and I came up with this note from the Arsenal of defense website. Read paragraph two and three. Sounds like a little conflict there with ex members?

Carnac, Tried to find you but every time I headed your way I got side tracked by something or somebody. I was right next to Maddawg and he told me where to look for you but................ Oh well, there is always next year.

Keep in mind that it was raining Saturday morning and the forecast was for heavy rain later in the day. I think that influenced some of the vendors. I had a buyer for an item my neighbor had but he never even set up on Sat. so the item did not get sold. I did notice a couple of vendors missing...
Well the trip home was much better than the trip down. Lost a trailer bearing and spent 4 hours on the side of 295 repairing it. I want to thank Dudley for setting me up with the spot and I will definitely be back for next year. The food was fantastic. I did not get to meet as many SS guys as I...
If you go with a Lincoln 180 series make sure you get the 180C. The "C" stands for commercial and has a MUCH higher duty cycle. You will not find the C at Lowes or Home Depot, You will have to go to a welding supply. Unless you are welding 1/2" a lot then the 180C is a really good machine.

Travis, I am sorry if I upset you, that was not my intention. I am not questioning your credentials and I want to thank you for your service to the country. I did not come here for a fight, I fought my battles many years ago in a jungle far away. I apologize to anyone I have offended here. Over...
Travis, Please tell me you do not believe what you find on Google?! Ask most anyone over 55 if they have done this. I do not know how old you are but you really need to think outside of the engineering box. I am not going to continue to debate it. If I have time I will copy the section in the...
Army jeep parts will have it but as was said, they sell out fast. There may be other places to get Gillespie paint but at the show, no hazmat. Yes you pay a little more for it but nowhere what you pay for a hazmat delivery charge.
Rick
OK, This will be my last post on this subject because I can see the mechanical engineer in you is not looking at this with an open mind. I am not saying that holding the brake will give you an instant locker. What I am saying is this, IF your brakes are adjusted correctly and you apply some, not...
This is a tried and proven method of gaining traction. Been done for more years than most of us have been alive. It forces the differential to transfer some of the power to the unloaded wheel. This is done by way of equalizing the force between the wheels by using the brakes.
Rick
If Cabell does not have it then Army Jeep Parts carries it but you might want to call them before the show since I have never seen gray there. They only bring the most common colors unless you call ahead of time.
Rick
OH MAN! You had to bring up that speedo picture! That pick up is right around the corner from my house, (ask EMD and Ferro) and that kind of rig does not surprise me around there. The local cops would not bother it, they don't want to get out of their cars. Staties on the other hand would have a...
You can only jump one battery at a time. You would hook the cables to you civvie normally and to the cucv to pos and neg on ONE battery only! Hook directly to the terminals on ONE battery, do not hook grond to body. Charge that battery for a little while then switch to other battery. There is no...
