Well I could take a look, if it starts and somewhat stops I could put it at my house for a couple of weeks. There are a couple of heavy wrecker services around here but I doubt they are cheap. Flynn's towing and Risoldis come to mind right off. See if they will let me in to check and see if it...
Leave it on automatic and it will go up as it senses the battery can handle it.
The pop may also have been the glow plug controller under the dash. As voltage goes down amperage goes up and you may have popped a resister.

I sent a reply earlier and I don't see it so I may have been deleted but I will try again just to be sure. I am not a busybody, I have plenty to keep me busy. I only tried to explain why the comments were made, I did not make the comments. I have no problem with the trade that was offered, I...
As a former rigger I was looking at those worn and kinked cables and very questionable rigging practices. No counterweights or blocking for the tracks. You guys were very luck to have survived! BUT it all worked out. Thanks for the pictures.
You did not get into trouble, We were questioning the timing of your posts. You offered it to one member but then offered it to someone else but you did not even have it yet. This was not a big deal, still isn't. The member that originally pointed it out is a long standing and well respected...
Nice guys, You know there are some of us who are on all of the main sites. I did not slam you over there, just pointed out some discrepancies. We still do not know if Dozenjeeps actually owns the TOW equipment or if he is selling it before he buys it. There is not a darn thing wrong with the 503...
I don't know exactly where the governor is set on these engines but it is probably around 2200 rpm. That is why you have the frequency gauge to tell you when you are at the right speed. Frequency is a product of rpm so when you are at 60 hertz you can be sure you are at 1800 rpm. At least on a...
If your old bus is a shorty then it is most likely a DT444, The same 7.3 as in Ford pickups. You say the new one is a transit bus? Is it rear engine? If so I am not sure they used the DT's in a rear engine. The pushers were mostly Detroits. Then again, I am not a bus expert.:???: Brake line rot...
Both are good motors and that is low mileage for them. Keep in mind that being buses they have led a stop and go life so oil changes would be imperative on a regular basis. What years are they? that is low mileage for a bus for sale.

Get yourself some left handed drill bits. They are a life saver when it comes to drilling out broken bolts because they drill in the opposite direction of regular bits. Usually about halfway into drilling the bolt will unscrew.

I picked up a tank on E-bay for 25.00. It was in Excellent condition, no rust in or out. Delks wanted 150.00 for the same tank. Granted they have stuff you can't find anywhere else but you are really going to pay for it. I called about a master switch, the guy who answered hollered to someone...
Check E-bay, I got one for my 002A on there. There is a guy called Beltfed on there that has almost anything for any kind of equipment known to man. His prices are reasonable also.
