    M35a3 ctis

That's good to know. Thanks so much! I'm wondering if it needs a new wiring harness for the CTIS? Only the drivers side front tire inflates and deflates to the correct psi. All the others have either 22 or 33 psi. Now I see why people delete the whole system. I did however want to get it...

    M35a3 ctis

The got a brand new, in the box ctis controller because the old one wouldn't shut off and was blinking and not properly filling and deflating the tires. The new ctis control module appears to be working, but the drivers side front left tire is at 45 psi, and the passenger front tire is at 32 psi...

    Ctis on a m35a3

Well, that's great. Currently, I do not have it hooked up correctly. Hopefully the control module will work properly when I do get the proper configuration. Otherwise I'll just have to order a new one. Thanks so much!

    Ctis on a m35a3

That's great! A photo would be nice. Does the ground wire going to somewhere else attach to the same screw head as the 6 inch wire? I ask because there's 2 screws on the back side of the control module. I was thinking the 2 scenarios would be the one listed above or each wire gets attached to a...

    Ctis on a m35a3

That's good insight. Thank you. One more question...When I disconnected the ctis cm there's 2 ground wires that screw into the back side of the terminal. One ground comes from somewhere in the truck. The other ground wire is about 6 inches long and is just independent/ by itself. I forgot the...

    Ctis on a m35a3

Hi. I thought their may be a leak but I didn't hear anything. I used the liquid leak detector on all the fittings I could find. However just prior to the system discharging it's extra air, I do hear a hissing noise. I don't know if that sound is a leak or just the air going through the system...

    Ctis on a m35a3

I took the rim off of the tire and found that the run flat wasn't lined up with the valve stem. I knocked it into place with a dull chisel and hammer, cleaned the Ctis apparatus of oil, and hooked everything back up. While the tire was still jacked off the ground, I started the truck and set the...

That's good to know about the Krytox GPL205 grease. The next time I grease everything I'll use it! Thank you

    Ctis on a m35a3

When I replaced the tires, I also replaced all the old seals with new seals and I greased all of the bearings. I did replace some of the plumbing fittings. Instead of the cork, I used gasket sealer in the green tube to fill the little cavity. However prior to this maintenance I did see...

    Ctis on a m35a3

Thank you so much for your reply. Cold weather/-40 degrees may have caused the problem with the CTIS system. Last winter, I started the truck to air up one of the tires that went flat. The CTIS control module started behaving differently after then. It won't shut off and won't bring all the...

    Ctis on a m35a3

I'll try cleaning the ctis valve. Good idea. I thought that I might have not got the run flat lined up with the valve stem when I replaced the tires. However my CTIS control unit won't shut off when I hit the off button and it won't air up my tires beyond 32 psi. I'd like to bring it up to 45...

    Ctis on a m35a3

I just put new tires on my M35a3. The CTIS system was working fine. I aired up all the tires to 60 psi. I drove 6 miles and checked the air pressure in each tire. 5 of the tires, are reading 32 psi, but the front left tire is reading 60 psi. The CTIS is running its cycle but is not brining the...

    M35a3 tire removal from rim

I got the new 395 85 r20s on the rims but I don't see how I can judge torquing the nuts on the ring to 450 foot pounds? It's $950 for a torque wrench that big. And how many I supposed to balance the tires? I thought about dropping the tires off at a shop to have them torque all the nuts down but...

    M35a3 tire removal from rim

Thanks for the advice. Do you know what the torque value is for the brass valve stem, lug nuts and the nuts for the outer ring?

    M35a3 tire removal from rim

Hi. I rented a engine hoist and placed it on top of the tire, then attached a chain to it and lowered the chain through the rim and attached it to the tire tool, underneath the rim. Then I slowly jacked up the hoist while spraying soapy water on the rim and tire. 3 minutes later the rims popped...

    M35a3 tire removal from rim

Thank you very much. I got the tire and rim disassembled . I used soapy water, a a pry bar, hammer to drive wood blocks as wedges. Next time, I'll chain the tire to the hitch, then chain the rim to my other truck and pull forward.

    M35a3 tire removal from rim

I finally got the nuts off the rim and tried to pry it off and away from the tire but I can't seem to do it. I live in a remote area and am a long way from a shop. Any suggestions? Thanks so much. J.V.
