The two purples were wired straight to one another . Idk just seemed really odd to me. It worked...
I’m glad to have discovered it and have made it “right”. The doghead mod only took about thirty minutes to complete. Thanks to all!
Hello all,
So I’ve been looking into the doghead mod and thought “well I’ve had starter issues in the past, sometimes it can take a second to start spinning after I turn the key”. So I went to take a look and this is what I found.
can anyone tell me why someone would wire it in such a way?
I...
I didn’t know this until I had already removed the glow plugs and tried to fit the new ones on.
I ended up taking the new GP’s over to the belt sander to file the tabs so they would fit in the connector.
What kind and how big of exhaust are you going with? I’d like to change mine but don’t know if it’s left better stock. I would like to know how flowmasters sound on a non turbo’d diesel

Bracket # 23502557
starter bolts # 15544950

I worked on it tonight for a couple hours, extracted the broken bolt and tried to measure clearance... I really couldn’t see. I went ahead and added two shims thinking if it was too much I could easily take one out. So I started with 1/32 shim now at 3/32. Installed starter with new bolts and...
Thanks, that’s the lead I was looking for. I have wondered in the past if the starter was “too close” to the flywheel and thus causing stress on the bolts.
Hello all,
I know this subject has been beat to death in this forum. This is the third time in 4 or five months I’ve had to drill out a starter bolt. Last time this happened I added the correct starter bracket that It did not have when I bought it. Also put gm starter bolts # 15544950. Both of...
Thank you. It was beat up pretty badly to begin with. I won’t be doing too much to it anytime soon but the next thing will be to work on the interior (probably next year or so). Has anyone sprayed their floor with that raptor liner?
