x2 what acesneights1 said. The only 2 cents that I will add is: watch that little plunger on the front of the pump when taking it out or putting it back in. It can spring out of its hole, and possibly fall into the timing area. You may then have to take the cover apart to get it out. Ask me how...
I shipped my pump to badger diesel, in Union Grove, WI. It was under 300 for the rebuild. That was 2 yearsa ago.
My buddy turned me on to them as he had 4 or 5 done on his trucks (and a yanmar pump from a skid loader). I have no affiliation with them, just passing on my experience.
What kind of shape are the battery cables in? Any corrosion, etc? I have very large battery cables on my 715, and my buddy, who owns three 6.2 trucks now and has had several over the years, cannot believe how fast mine cranks
The forceps work good because they are slim, and have a locking mechanism to keep hold of the broken tip once you get a good grip on it. I got an angled pair on eBay for under $10. The hard part was waiting for them to get delivered...

I bought a pair of angled forceps and used that to pull 6 of 8 swollen glow plugs through the injector hole. I just broke them off, since I don't have the tool. . With the injector out, you can stick your finger in and feel the gp tip. I couldn't fit the forceps and finger in at the same time...
