M923A2 Fan Clutch Repair - Any Clutch Gurus Out There?

Same here. No room for even a sheet of paper. Very tight. It sounds internal, like a gear or something won't fully engage at idle but does at higher RPMs.

M923A2 Fan Clutch Repair - Any Clutch Gurus Out There?

This got me curious (since mine rattles at idle upto 1000 RPMs when it engages) so I checked my bolts and they are studs (A2) and all are tight.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Will they pass it with the bullet holes in the fender?

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Indeed it does! I like the corners on them covers.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I used a chain with one of the 6 mil-issue locks, that came with identicle keys from wmmules at Findlay, and ran the chain through my D-handle shovel, the fuel can, and my chain that attaches my chock blocks together. One lock and three items secured.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Wow. Now I wonder how heavy I was loading! I did have to use low range on the uphill that really wasn't that steep. So much for my attempts to baby my baby.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

That's pretty awesome! I didn't know you could use that cover on an M939 series. Is the truck an M923?

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I second that! I've had the super singles bulging out pretty good moving dirt on site.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

If you mean mine with the red data plate, it is M929A2. You can click on the pics after opening and then zoom, but I didn't even get the model in the pic as that part was glaring real bad. I am self employed and investments are my primary income so I prefer to load light and spend the extra time...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I wonder now how much my state would charge for the extra 10,000 lbs. While on the subject of weight, does the declared weight stand as a total for truck and trailer, or does the trailer plate (no gvwr was asked) cover it's weight?

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I did see it before on an M51 and an M817. I just assumed they realized it was harder on the truck. Regardless, I will go with the lightest rating considering any repairs come out of my pocket. Not like I have a blank check handed to me like our tax dollars do for defense spending. And (yes, an...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Maybe they changed it on A2s?

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Yes, but my data plate says 5 tons off road and 5 tons on road. My bmv allows me to determine the gvwr and applies the license fees accordingly. Then they give me a sticker to put on the rear plate that has a "34" representing the gvwr. If the portable scales get me with 7% over what number is...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Don't you just love it when you tell them "5 tons" and they always overload you. I guess they figure they aint paying the fine. It can't be that hard to know the weight of what size aggregate fills the bucket of the front end loader. I was very tempted to drive back to the pile and tip the gate...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Painted over my D.O.T. and P.U.C.O. numbers and put my plates back on and my new insurance card in the map/glove box. Nice to only pay 10% of what I did last year on insurance. Also mounted my plate and it's light.

Login Timing Out While On Site

I would just check the "remember me" box and see if that will prevent it from logging you off.

Auction date changes, MK48 and Hemtt recall

All will be ok as long as it stays legal to buy the camo netting with the wire to confuse radar.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

The 12V wire that is original on the M939 series trucks is for the low speed on the heater fan. I followed their lead and ran 12V into a 3-way cigarette lighter size socket for 12V accessories. It's nice for the amber LED magnetic safety light bar that I throw on top the headache rack if I have...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Got my cover back a few weeks ago from the tent and awning shop. They repaired some mice damage in the one of the N.O.S. cover kits I got in Findlay that I kept. I picked up four from a fellow that lives near Findlay that S.S. member junkyardwars connected me with. I know one that I sold there...
