    Need to find cheap Deuce

A couple years ago this truck sold for $1700 + fees on GL and the guy still had to get it home. These days a lot of buyers spend upwards of $1500-2000 just to get them home unless they are lucky enough to live near the point of purchase.

    24.5 or 22.5 wheels on M818

Funny you should ask today. Before the temps dropped and the snow started up again my son and I did some tire work today. One of the projects was to remove my long distance front tires from my XM818 and remount the NDT's for some local off road work I need to do. My highway rubber of choice are...

    What Would You Pay?

Make absolutely sure the title/numbers match the truck and the name of the fellow you are buying from. The frame numbers should be found in the area as in the pic.

    Engines in the CUCV?

It was discovered after pulling the pan number seven rod broke off the piston and punched a window into the water jacket on this "yellow tag 6.5" engine. My friend should have filed a claim with GL as it was listed as good. After a couple 6.2 engines in my 1008 I went with a gasser.

Looking at buying my first deuce is this a good deal?

You should drive one with stock tire/wheel arrangement and one with singles as well as one with and without air assist steering for comparisons. Heavy gets stuck faster than lighter when comparing 5 ton to a deuce. Also harder to pull out.
