    Opinions on tires

Give me free access to any brand new tires and I would take the Michelin XML's. The Goodyear MVT's are decent but, are rock pickers. I like the Michelin XZL's better. I would not intentionally buy Michelin XL's. I currently have trucks equipped with all the tires in my post.

    boggers on a m35a2

Off road only trucks. Not the way I would do it. That second truck is the one I thought you were planning to buy, remember! It was first posted by you. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?76168-Lift-blocks&highlight=

    diesel vs gas

The editor of Chevy High Performance magazine wrote a buildup of 390/410 hp smallblock on 87 octane back in 2001. The article was called "Agent 87". Something like 25mpg in a car. The 267 V8's I've used are original equipment from Impala and Caprice 2/4 door full size cars. They have good...

    diesel vs gas

Well, you posted in the CUCV forum without being specific so here's my take on it. If I needed to change out the 6.2 in a M1009, I would consider a 4.3 V6. Plenty of power, cheap and easy to maintain. I have installed a few 267 V8's which are great motors for an economical power plant,(only GM...

My 14.5's do not hit anything loaded or empty. I can even stow the rear gate on the side.

Go to Johnson's Stainless Exhaust in Fredonia, PA. You aren't far from there. They will build you a complete stainless setup with lifetime warranty for the cost of the auto part store setup.

    Differential ratio Poll

The original post did not mention wanting to change the transmission or doing a lift for big tires. The poll should reflect what he was asking. That said I would do the 3.73 swap. Still plenty of power and more highway friendly. I run 255/85's which are taller than my 285/75's on my M1008 and...

    Working the Deuce!

I found most of that stuff closer to you than to me. There was another guy east of this location that has some mounted 1400-20 NDT's off a bridge truck for sale.

Very nice work there! Not really unthinkable. This trailer came through GL back in 2010. There have been others also.
