It's been a while since I've looked at GL's terms and conditions, but if it isn’t spelled out, I'd look at paying a mouth piece to send them a letter with a demand for compensation. Most of their high dollar auction spells out sending certified funds before being allowed to bid. Get a lawyer...

    Hay Train

How does your fifth wheel attach to the trailer tongue, or does it just sit into a pocket? Pics man, pics!

    M101a2 Surge Brake?

That's the part number. The replacement is easy. Search for the TM and it will have the break down of the surge coupler in it.

    M101a2 Surge Brake?

The shock absorber is bad. The shaking is the brakes being applied, then releasing, and being applied again. If you want to remove the surge brake coupler, I'll purchase it from you. Otherwise the two vertical strips of metal limit the travel of the tongue assembly. Running another strip...

Oddest load moved in a deuce???/ SS airforce??

Friends don't let friends fly piston driven helicopters. Both R22 and R44's are accidents waiting to happen. I can't tell you how many tail rotor gear boxes I've seen on both craft with enough metal in them to be grounded. My local police department was flying a Schweizer 300, under 50...

    A3 Tranny in an A2

TM, I don't know where you got the information from that the M35A3 Cat powered diesel engine was rated for 3,000-3200 rpm. In the configuration received from Cat, the 3116 is only rated for 2,700 rpm

    Water base CARC

A quick guide to mixing and applying CARC polyurethane paint Mechanically mix the base component (it contains the color portion) using a paint shaker or a stir bar mounted to a drill motor for 10-15 minutes minimum. Accurately measure each component using a mixing cup. Non-waxed Dixie cups...

    M105A3 Cargo Hoop Help

Pics of M105A3 with cover. Also, make sure that you get/got the trailer jack seen on the right corner of my trailer. The A3 tailgate is almost as wide as the wheel wells. The wheel wells are close to a foot wider than the A2 version, so don't let the tailgate width fool you, as it's wider...

    M105A3 Cargo Hoop Help

The trailer that I have the cover on is down at my Mom-n-Dads house, 250 miles away. I do however have a trailer at my house that I can put the cover on later today. Its over 100 right now so I'd kinda like it to cool down a little bit before venturing outside again.

    M105A3 Cargo Hoop Help

Mine have straps for the bow at the front and rear that attach to the bows in addition to the rubber bungie cords. Once the cover is is place, it will withstand 60mph winds and 3 feet of snow as we experienced this past winter.

Bob deuce data plate--need count on truck numbers

The only reason that I brought up the weight is that with most states having budget issues, one of the first things they go after is truck enforcement. Using the XM381 data plate is a good thing in that they did exist, unlike making up your own model number. This is not a slam against "rolling...

Bob deuce data plate--need count on truck numbers

Have you had the truck weighed with a load in it? Your data plate lists only gaining 250 lbs on the front axle from empty to loaded. I suspect that you will be a lot heavier than the listed weight.

    M105A2s at Wright Patterson

I recently rented a 18' flat bed trailer from Sunbelt Rentals. It was a tandem axle model, rated to haul 7000 lbs. I was pulling it with my F350 dually, which other than loving its fuel had no issues. Your pick-up truck should be able to handle one of these trailers since the Sunbelt trailer...

    M923A2 tranny?

I'd personally love to own a M923 or M925 truck, but for now, I sit back and save my funds for the M1084 in my sights. The M923-925 uses the Allison MT564CR. It's a very good mechanical Allison, with just a few issues. Brake lock up due to the transmission and required replacement of the...

GL "Fine Print" vs. Missing parts

My one and only claim with GL was refused by GL due to me removing my item from the location instead of refusing the item. I purchased two trailers on a single auction item. The item count listed two, the NSN numbers listed two different trailers. I filed my claim before removal, yet the...

    M101A2 violent braking!

Cage numbers are unique to a manufacturer. NSN numbers are associated to a part that goes out for bid. The lowest cost wins, or should win, except if the company is minority or woman owned. Page 297 of the TM is a breakdown of all of the part number listed for the lunette/brake assembly with...

    M101A2 violent braking!

After a search of TM 9-2330-202-14&P, I found the part number and the cage code. Part number is 1844-2 Cage code is 93072 A quick search of the cage code comes back to Toledo Stamping and Mfg. A Google search yielded this info. Toledo Actuators | Balcrank Products Inc. Customer Service...

need lots of advice on welders and welding

i'm not a weld expert, but for most sheet metal applications any name branded mig machine will perform quite well. Since you mentioned gas, you do know that there is a weld wire called flux core which creates a shield gas so that you don't require bottles. My personal preference is to stay...

    M101A2 violent braking!

There is supposed to be a small shock asorber mounted to the master cylinder assembly. If the shock is worn out or missing, any time that the tongue of the trailer moves to the rear the brakes will be applied. Check the condition of the shock. Also, if the trailer has sat for a long period of...

Uh, oh! Anti-freeze In the Oil

Easiest way is to cap the inlet and outlet and submerse in hot water. The hot water will cause an internal pressure increase which will show bubbles. This method has used in the aircraft industry for verifying that components are sealed from water intrusion.
