Never used the plywood/grease deal. We always used a sheet of tin and motor oil. Less mess than using grease.

There is no perfect combination, tread or tire size, for all weather conditions, or for all on/offroad situations. The only way I can deal with it is multiple sets of tires and/or multiple trucks.

special tools! I have ground off and bent tools to meet specific uses also. I bought some of these wrench sockets and found them to be most useful in tight spots. I sometimes combine them with a crowsfoot for real tight spots.
