    Dec 19 medical run

My folks used to live in Stuarts Draft before moving over to Fishersville a few years back. Getting into Draft can be quite challenging if you have to go past McKeever and across the low bridge. I've seen snow drifts across Draft Ave over 5 feet deep before. This might not sound like much to...

need a m35a2 moved from ft Mead to frederick md

CARNAC, we don't have such a thing as a one-way-trip-permit in Maryland. They will issue a temporary inspection plate,, actually a cardboard license plate, but you need a title go get one. Towing a deuce 75 miles will set you back $250-300. You can save a few bucks and pull the axle shafts...

More jobs for the Deuce/The last Roundup

No I would not be surprised at what government would do to take property for the citizens. My grand parents owned 4,000 acres in Harford County MD that became the airfield for Aberdeen Proving Grounds. My great grandmother and great grandfather purchased the land when they immigrated from...

    15 minute rule - flustrating

As for purchasing from the Government, Have you ever seen on the Bill of Ladings on some of the GL items that you purchased? I have two of them. GL moved one of my trailers from 20 miles north of my house to Chambersburg PA for $694 dollars that was billed to the government.. I only paid...

    15 minute rule - flustrating

Prior to the start of the auction, I make my list of items that I want to bid on and a value that I think each is worth to me. I then assign a priority to each item. Once I submit my bids, I look at the bidders list to see if the same bidders numbers are also showing up on the same items that...

    Backing up with surge brakes?

The A2 uses air over hydraulic brakes. If you don't apply air to the glad hands you don't have brakes. So to answer your question, they will back up just fine behind a tractor, just you won't have brakes for stopping.

Goodyear radials SUCK in the snow!!!

Something is not right with your truck or you had ice underneath the snow. The Goodyear radials should pull very well in the snow even though they are a highway tread pttern. If you think the radials are bad just wait till you try the NDT's, you'll be slip sliding away.

    Backing up with surge brakes?

I can't confirm at this time, though I will be ordering a master cylinder rebuild kit from one of the two placed lsited close to where I work. The master cylinder listed is 2374400. I can't tell by item description just what exactly comes with the master cylinder kit, but I guess I'll be...

    Backing up with surge brakes?

No NSN number required as the brake activator is made by Titan and is a model 20. There are a few different #20 models depending on whether it uses a lunette, ball hitch or a drop hitch. For those that are still having problems backing up on flat surfaces, not hills, the dampeners are...

My BIG M925A2 Project Truck Is Home

Chris, All I can say is that you must have "VISION" as I would have written that POS off as a basket case prior to your purchase. Green must flow thru your veins to be able to reincarnate that truck back into a Mean Green Fighting Machine. Well done sir, well done.

    Strange looking 939 hood

It appears that someone replaced the round head lights with retangular ones and moved the turn signals from the lower fender.to the top of the fender Here is a picture of a Sea Bees M923 that appears to share the same hood but with round lights and turn signals on the lower fender location.

    total frustration (again)

Just click the box that says to remember me right below your log in. As for witty and thoughtful posts, try using a word processing program, spell check your post then copy and paste into the message window. If it posts OK, you are good to go, if not you still have your word processor...

M818....I'm trying a new way to put a bed on it...

The problem you are going to run into is that the height of the fifth wheel will make the bed sit very high unless you are willing to make a tunnel in the bed for the king pin to sit into. Also, what are you going to use to remove the bed when not needed. I could imagine some type of frame...

how do i find and get into auctions?

Good luck if you purchase an EUC required item then. Check out he Government Liquidation website, register to bid then sit back and wait till the item of your dreams comes along. If you have moved frequently in the last few years the folks at Battle Creek that perform the clearances for End...

    Mep-003a/m116a2 recovery

The ASK kits completely enclose the generator which if the weather is cold can be a good thing, but under normal temperatures cook the heck out of things. Since your trailer has the bows al ready installed, why not just cover the bows with some plywood and line the inside fiberglass ceiling...

    Access to Eglin

CARNAC, you and Mr. Carson are able to devine the question to your answer, but for us mear mortals, what are the new requirments? I've been to eight or nine different GL site locations. For each and everyone, I had to schedule an appointment, have proper valid state issued ID, vehicle...

    FMTV starter issues

If you have acces to a clamp on amp probe, place it around the battery cable as close to the starter as possible and have someone attempt starting the vehicle. Depending on the cold crank amps of your batteries you should have close to 2000 amps available. If you get less than 500 amps (this...

    M101A2-A3 Brake Shoes & bearings

The M116a3 is not an old trailer, it's the current version with the exception of the M1102 type designed to be pulled by the Humvee. The fender extensions from the M116 will not fit the M101 trailer. From your last description of the tires sticking out of the fender wells, it sounds like...

    Backing up with surge brakes?

If you use a 1" C clamp on the H beam section it will allow you to back the trailer up. Installing any mechanism to defeat the surge brakes could yield lots of trouble if you "forget" to remove it prior to going back onto public roads. By using a small clamp even if you forget to remove it...
